Romo being damn good is a well established consensus in pro personnel circles. From scouts to GMs and all the directors in between. He gets his offense in the right plays and out of the wrong plays as well as anybody. It helps to appreciate the difference between a quarterback and a passer though.

The thing I lament most about our neo-politically correct climate, especially among young people, is that satire is a dying art form for college audiences. Anyone with a modicum of understanding of satire, can watch 'Blazing Saddles' and understand exactly what kind of social comment Mel Brooks and Richard Pryor were making when they wrote it. But today's audience is too blinded and too expectant to be offended that it isn't even an offering on Netlix. A shame, really. In that regards, we have regressed a lot since the 70s. When today's comics and other producers of satire purposely avoid college audiences because of its too pc environment, something is wrong. When a Chris Rock or Seinfeld won't book colleges, something is wrong. Gone are the days when a Lenny Bruce or Mort Sahl could share acute observations and commentary on the social constructs of the day and we are worse off for it. When books like Huckleberry Finn are not taught because of the language it contains, we all lose as a society. More's the pity.

Thought you'd realize I was being facetious. I will none the less clarify: there were NO market forces of supply and demand in effect that impacted the rise in price of Mylan's epipen. None. As the article in Forbes suggested, they raised the price 500% simply because they could when there were problems with the only competing product on the market. It was an immoral act in every way. And their attempts to explain and cover their a$$es are laughable. It's no wonder that they are getting bi-partisan criticism as a result. Why, even Chuck Grassley was displeased.

But, but market...something, something, supply...something, something demand. If getting our priorities straight means an unequivocal understanding that life and health supersede profits, don't hold your breath. Kudos to Mylan's CEO for cashing in $5m in stock when the controversy erupted, though. Shrewd move, that.

The point is I disagree with your assertion that he is equidistant between average and HOFer. His body of work suggests he is far closer to HOFer, actually. The only thing he lacks is playoff success. I think a lot of the anti-Romo sentiment takes root in the fact he plays for Dallas and I understand that. But the numbers he's amassed makes that a moot point. He'd be getting the same attention if he played in Podunk.

Not might be, would be. I'd like to see the the QB that's never been awful at times. Much closer to HOFer than average and I predict he will garner votes every year he is eligible.

He would get serious consideration if they had more playoff success. His entire body of work and the numbers achieved in compiling it, are well above average when it comes to comparisons to other QBs. He is anything but JAG.

I agree Romo is a great QB. Eleven and I have had debates about Romo before and I couldn't resist the opportunity to bust his chops again. Not an HOFer, but only because the 'Boys haven't won anything. If they had enjoyed more playoff success, Romo's numbers wouldn't hold him back from HOF consideration. Any objective look at his career bears that out.

Being able to see over the linemen is not an issue as QBs throw from lanes and can see just fine. Roman was reluctant to have TT use the middle of the field and TT wasn't as confident going to that area earlier on last year and that stands to reason given the congestion there and the commitment by DCs to take it away. But over the later part of the year there was clear progression as TT took more chances. GO BILLS!!!
