  1. The expert testimony angle is interesting in that it’s what Eichel/Fish did in the summer when they did their bit with Dr. Prusmack in order to sway us jurors in the court of public opinion. I wonder if they ever sought out a any differing opinion, let alone that of Dr. Cappuccino. Actually, I’m sure they didn’t. But I don’t see the need to consider Cappuccini’s role as a paid expert in court when it comes to the Eichel situation. He’s an expert in his field and it makes perfect sense to seek out his testimony if it can help your case. The opposing side presents their own experts as well. Happens every day in courts all around the country as a matter of routine. None of that conflicts with his status a preeminent surgeon in his field or the fact that he has performed the most ADRs in this country. There simply is not a better qualified opinion. The Bills and Sabres are lucky to have had him in their employ all these years as is Eichel for getting his advice.
  2. Thank you for mentioning Dr. Capuccinno. In addition to being known as the doctor most responsible for Kevin Everett being able to walk again due to his immediate on field care when the injury occurred as well as Everett’s continued care afterward, it’s my understanding that he is the preeminent spinal surgeon in the country and has performed the most ADRs of anyone in the field. If he recommends against Eichel getting the ADR, there is literally no better qualified authority for Eichel to listen to. Perhaps some of these agent shills in the media should better acquaint themselves with exactly who the Sabres have offering medical advice.
  3. Well, that wasn’t posted by Alphadawg7 and I wish it was because it would have been so much easier to just drop that tweet into the post instead. Full style points to you, though.
  4. This was posted by Alphadawg7 over at TSW on TBD. I thought it was great and had to share it here. It’s a comparison of Mahomes and Allen over their last 21 games. Mahomes: 17-4 record Allen: 17-4 record Mahomes: 106.9 rating Allen: 106.0 rating Mahomes: 67 comp % Allen: 67.6 comp % Mahomes: 58-13 Total TD-INT Allen: 59-12 Total TD-INT
  5. I’d like to buy a vowel, Pat.
  6. When Brady was with the Pats***, he often said that the Bills secondary under McDermott was his most difficult challenge, especially because of how well Hyde and Poyer disguised coverages pre-snap. That back seven has been together for several years now and it shows. They can complete each other’s sentences.
  7. Do you understand the concept of “it’s a week to week league?”
  8. So, the assumption by the networks is that the viewing audience is mostly comprised of people ignorant of the game. Mute and move on indeed. Well, aren’t those casual fans lucky then. 😂
  9. I find that approach highly insulting to the viewing audience. As if we can’t discern chicken crap from chicken salad on our own. There is absolutely nothing that the Collinsworths of the commentary world can tell me to convince me to keep watching or not. They should actually try saying less at times.
  10. Sorry NS, but the idea of makeup sex with my brother is extremely upsetting.
  11. Jack Eichel’s antiques:
  12. I doubt it.
  13. KA was asleep at the wheel. Not sure why you let a player like Barre-Boulet slip thru your fingers. It’s not like the Sabres aren’t familiar with his play in Syracuse.
  14. This makes more sense to me.
  15. Why do the Caps get the option of sending him to Hershey while the Sabres don’t have the option of sending him to Rochester?
  16. The Rangers must have gotten a good look at the medical records.
  17. If they were smart, they’d put him on IR.
  18. I left out one key group the clock is also ticking for; the media.
  19. I think that clock is ticking only for Eichel and impatient fans.
  20. Yeah, the “generational” label needs to be saved for players who truly are. I don’t recall a lot of people saying Eichel was generational coming out, just that he would have been first overall if not for McDavid. I can count on one hand the number of players that compare with McDavid in my 50+ years of watching the NHL, so Eichel certainly has nothing to apologize for in that regard. He’s a great player. That said, he wasn’t part of a solution in turning this team around and it was time to move on. Clearly.
  21. That works for me. Bergeron is a great player.
  22. Okposo, for all his lack of fading skills and ability, always seems to make good decisions, mostly because there is no panic in his game. When these younger guys start learning to keep their heads up, take an extra second to assess the situation and then make the play, then we will turn the corner.
  23. He’s been gone for a while now, but he’s still on the team.
  24. That makes sense on a certain level, but that’s also saying the conclusions reached by the medical team and the best medical practices they advised would have been different. For that reason, I have to think the injury dictated the medical course of action and not whether Jack was staying or not.
