I have and yes, but I always knew when a line mate was better than me at something (usually everything). Does Skinner do that? If so, why was he so prolific with Eichel early on? Does Eichel defer too much and need a Skinner? If so, that’s on coaching to make it work, then.

Then ***** him. If it’s me, I’m trying to set up the 40 goal guy every time. That’s not a small feat.
-
I don’t buy any of this. Any lower level player (who he is playing with) would be thrilled to try and feed the puck to a former 40 goal scorer.
-
So, early results are in and I’d have to say yes. There were a bunch last night.

I was just making a joke about opening up for the Super Bowl and Valentines Day.

To be reinstated on Monday, sorry, Feb 15th, I'm guessing.

Chopped up some cauliflower to the size of cooked ground beef. Steamed it (in the microwave) with a little butter, cayenne and cumin. Added some rice and cheddar add had a pretty kick ass vegetarian burrito.

It's cool seeing the glass gone behind the benches. Flames/Jets games are fun.

I got flamed pretty hard for saying at the time that firing GMTM and HCDB set the rebuild back two years. I guess it was right to be flamed, we're at four years and counting.
-
Correct. Good thing I never said that. I really didn’t think “at risk people first. Period” was that difficult to understand. I guess it’s easier to just be angry.

What about bars and restaurants? You don’t actually need those. You don’t actually need a television, either. I made a point earlier, but it seems to have gotten lost in all the moral authority outrage. The vaccine is not the only way to protect ourselves from the virus. We have been protecting ourselves the whole time. The vaccine is how we get back to normal. I’m just curious where the sales guy, who moved his family to the mountains so they could go to school and ski afterwards, but is still making all his calls and is doing fine, falls on the priority list. Should he be given the vaccine before the athlete? He doesn’t need it to stay safe or to work. I’m confident, though, that no matter who makes the list, LGR will be there to tell them it is wrong.

Wrong thread.
-
There’s only one answer, and it ain’t on that list.

I totally agree and shouldn’t have used teachers in my example. Others can work from home, though. There is no reason why they should get it before someone who needs to go to work in order to do their job, no? Settle down.
-
The is BS. If you want to oversimplify it to the point of being disingenuous, you could have at least asked if we would give our dose to Jack Eichel. Teachers can still teach, though. You can’t play hockey over Zoom.
-
I won't get offended by anything you have to say. We're just talking here and I'm doing my share of devil's advocacy. As someone who doesn't vote his pocketbook or tax bracket, my views on who should get the vaccine are similar. At risk people first, period. But that can mean different things to different people. Lifestyle matters. Just because someone is older or has health issues, doesn't mean they are more at risk and should get it first. I know people who haven't left their house in months. They can wait even if they might be on a list that puts them ahead of others. Quality of life matters and has been a topic since this has begun. This whole thing just points out to me once more those good ole American values that if you are a good consumer and producer of things, you are of more worth.

I know I’m boiling it down, as well. Anything but entertain,... So, it’s way more important for people to be able to make cheap crap that will be in a landfill in 2 years, or style someone’s hair. Just be a good stay at home robot. Those people matter more,... k

Gottit. So, only those who are old or sick and most likely to die are allowed to restart their lives first. If you are young or healthy, you have to wait.
-
Kinda my point. Where do we draw the line. The vaccine is not the only way to protect ourselves. It’s how we “get back to normal.” If the goal is to protect enough people so that we can limit death and “get back to normal,” I don’t see a difference between giving it to old people so they can go to the mall and giving to athletes so I can watch hockey with my friends.
-
I think smokers should go to the end of the line.
-
Can your parents isolate in order to protect themselves? Are they working from home? Are they only getting it to "return to normal?" The point is, it's a really complicated issue. I view an NHL player getting jabbed as benefiting more than just the player. It benefits me, and thousands like me who need an escape from this crap.
-
Figured this should be it's own thread. So where do they fall? Before or after sanitation workers? What about overweight smokers? Where do I fall? I know it's pretty far down, stupid me for being healthy. If I get sick, I'll most likely get better and go back to work. If a young, healthy pro athlete gits sick, if they are compromised even 5% afterward, they'll most likely never play again. Fun fact, I actually get to "jump the line" because I'm in the media. Is that right? I wouldn't get it until later, though, if it weren't for the fact that my daughter is in a home and can't receive vaccinations. And I'm not worried about the economy. If there is another stimulus it'll be just fine. People downplay the importance of the arts and entertainment all the time. It's one of the reasons my dad never knew if he was going to have a job the next school year every year. One of my first topics on SS was a rant about people saying "relax, it's just a game." You are boiling it down to "rich guy jumping the line so he can play his game" when you know it is more than that.

We'll see how you feel by the time the 11th rolls around.😄

I disagree. The only content I watch is the NHL. And haven't most of the healthcare workers and long term care facilities already been vaccinated? They have been at my daughter's home, and my 80 yo mom has been. Everyone else I know can still WFH to keep themselves safe. At this point, I have no problem using a couple of thousand doses for this. It wouldn't even be a blip on it's affect on the economy?
