Several times during the game yesterday and during that drive, I found myself with a huge smile on my face.

Other than that head scratcher, I thought the refs were really good the whole game. There was holding and PI by both sides but they called it evenly. There was holding, as there usually is, by both lines, but they called it evenly. I didn’t really even have a problem with the clock thing, once explained. I imagine you would feel much differently had we needed up losing.

I just meant that the game should have been over after the fumble that they said wasn’t. We waited 25 years. May as well win the game twice. The Colts won 11 games. That’s a pretty f’n good team. I don’t think it was an ugly win atoll. Plus they matched up pretty well against us. I love that we won a close game. And I’m grateful that we lost to Arizona the way we did. Today may have ended differently if we hadn’t.

I find your input welcome. But you have to realize that you are a professional. Just like when someone else is floored by a crazy riff in a guitar solo and I say, yep, he play a 32nd note triplet Lydian scale over the IV chord. Looking at the situation analytically, to us, is downplaying it. Sorry, it just is. This is hugely emotional for us. There is no such thing as “acceptable loss” to the non-trained. If “getting through this” (which I, too, believe we will) means that even one more person dies, that is a huge freak out. It’s good that you have a so be it attitude. I get where you are coming from. Just wanted you to know where we are coming from.
