I could see Pens/Isles being interesting if only because it's a team that scores a shite ton against one that doesn't allow any scoring.

I don't think that Drury was as good as his late game heroics had people believe. Many of which were the result of Lindy shortening the bench and putting him together with Briere. I still think Reinhart is Drury and would love to see what he could have done on that team.

What matchups are must see TV this year? Bruins/Caps is interesting, so is Pens/Isles, but I’m just sick of watching these teams. Panthers/Lightening is my go to. Really looking forward to this. Don’t really care about Preds/Canes. I’ll watch both North series. I’m finding the West’s first round matchups kinda meh, from a purely my interest in them, not from the most likely quality of the hockey. Just curious.

That’s the point, though. Tell me the last trade the Sabres made that shipped talent out to improve culture actually made the team better? You improve culture by winning, not by shipping out guys that hate to lose.

The amount of drama that I have read on this board, and heard on WGR about these end of the year interviews is hilarious. I just don't think that these guys think about this stuff as much as the fans or the media. These guys are athletes. There's no subterfuge. They want to play. They want to get paid. They want to win. Jack, get better, then add to the progress the young guys made at the end of the year and try to win. That's it.
