They just showed a replay in the Ducks/Knights game. It was clear that Hayden Fleury got hit squarely in the nuts by the puck. Are we really in a place where the announcers can't just say, "boy, you're glad you have a cup on a play like that." No, apparently, "He had the wind knocked out of him."

Love this. Absolutely. I really hope that is sarcasm. I like Ray. He's a meathead sometimes and really smart other times. This is a great take Why? I know for a fact this is true. He doesn't love how he got here, but he absolutely wants to make the most of it. I did. Others did, too. Mostly because we never thought he was a clear bust. Other notes. Washington is old. Still pretty dern good, but old. I really like Reinhart. Other than the Dahlin "hook' the officiating was okay (Risto slew footed while simultaneously elbowing a guy into the boards with the ref looking right at him. it was awesome.) I'm Homogenic for Bjork. Really fun game.

It was not a bad hit at all. He was looking down and just got folded against the glass.

In between the play and the replay, they show him on the bench with the trainer’s hands on his neck and he really winces in pain and gives the guy a WTF!!! look. It happens right after the faceoff at 5:50 left in the 3rd. 3/7 game.

I actually think he got the stick on the neck a few games earlier. In the Isles game, he just got folded into the glass right at the top of the dasher.

It was the guy's stick, pinning his neck to the glass.

Sure. Losing on purpose has been an extremely successful strategy for the Sabres for almost a decade. I can see why you want it to continue.
