Escrow was as high as 27% I believe during the recession. While they did get some back they didn't necessarily open the books to finally settle the %. What the players don't like is that the league determines what they get back. In this case I believe the league is looking at using the escrow to shore up the poor teams instead of using owner revenue sharing money. Seems to me the league wants the players to bail out the poor teams.
