  1. You'll have to connect the dots. Why would gutting the team make it more attractive to new owners?
  2. Annnnnnd Jack never became a Sabre. (Tweet using the other f-word.)
  3. Of course the point of the Joel song wasn't that those who physically die young, are necessarily good, but that some young people give up on life or don't experience life. Paging Virginia...
  4. What's worse than breaking that rule is doing it and pretending no one saw it. Thumbs up!
  5. Banana mime. Violent check into the boards. Discuss.
  6. You're about to get educated!
  7. May I send you our pamphlet?
  8. 11 posts. Stop doubling down.
  9. Assuming that we're trying to end racist gestures in sports, the actions by Ukrainian hockey officials are barely acceptable. But maybe a lot better than we would have seen several years ago. It's kind of a non-starter discussion. No one will defend the player's actions or say the UHL did all it could or should. And there should be little doubt that if something like that happened in the NHL, the punishment would be SEVERE. Not sure where we go from here, especially on the topic of ending racism in the world.
  10. We should be nicer to new people. It was easy enough to miss the last few words of a long thread title. @Never NEVER Give-up I apologize.
  11. Ukrainian Hockey League for those curious.
  12. He who? The poster didn't give up though. And the poster is smart. The answer will be found in places like this much more quickly than on some website. You people.
  13. SABRES WATERING HOLE TO RESTRICT ALCOHOL TO SMALL BACK ROOM; UPTIGHT PATRONS HAD COMPLAINED ABOUT 'THE DRINKING'
  14. Someone's living in his own mental mansion it seems. Not everything's about you. I happen to know Paul has come to regret the whole affair. Get over yourself.
  15. WIELAND ADMITS HE REGRETS CREATING TARO T — 'POMPOUS' AND 'INCORRIGIBLE'
  16. Cutting through your usual BS, at this moment — everyone over 65; everyone between 18 and 64 with an underlying condition (not just those who are immunocompromised); and everyone working in an occupation that has high-risk exposure to Covid are recommended to receive a booster. That's a huge swath of the American population. The occupational recommendation is said to encompass 60 million Americans, including grocery store workers. Underlying conditions include hypertension and high BMI, among dozens of other common ailments. Care to count those folks up? You can quibble about the language ("almost wholly endorse"), but, as they say, it's close enough for government work.
  17. I always thought the reaction to Doug coming out was insincere. Vogl thought the same. I have a feeling he won't be missed. Maybe Doug Allen's Gambit was that his people would rise up.
  18. Hey! NS. Here ya go.
  19. The CDC advisory panel almost wholly endorsed boosters. It stopped short in one vote (9-6, I think) of recommending boosters for vulnerable workers. Which is the vote the CDC director overruled. But you don't care about the facts. You probably have a reliable source that says otherwise.
  20. I'll be annoyed by Rick's pronunciation. And Dan's inevitable R2D2. "IN FRONT! R2D2. And the Sabres are within striking distance at 4-1!"
