  1. Garth Snow?
  2. I'm not disagreeing with you, but there's something to be said for a player that can feed off other good players. Like good centers. Buffalo has a fwe of those in the pipeline, right?
  3. Strachan wasn't bad when he skated with Myers, but I don't know if that was wonder-twin synergy or a glimpse into his potential. I guess the real question is: does he beat out Mike Weber for 3rd pair tough guy?
  4. I don't think it's a terrible idea, as long as it's reversible. However, the Libertarians and Conservatives would like flip the #### out about government-forced sterilization. Actually, I think everyone might flip out, and rightfully so. It's a slippery slope to sterilization of "undesirables". Maybe a government freebie would be a better tack: "Two kids and on assistance? Get snipped for free and collect a $50/week bonus."
  5. You're welcome to the the name I was going to use if I had a boy: Torque Ripcord.
  6. It was in the playoffs the last time I saw, possibly going in the Sabres favor. I'm thinking pre-2004-lockout though.
  7. I was curious, so looking at the last 6 years (wikipedia before that isn't listing playoff rosters well for the teams) there's a former Sabres' name on the winning roster 4 times of the 6 (Satan, Campbell, Paille, and Regher). For the two missed years (2012 and 2013), Bernier, Tallinder, and Zubrus in 2012, and Paille in 2013 played for the losing SCF team. So a former Sabre in the finals each year. All going by "playoff" roster, it's possible some (Tallider) didn't actually play in the SCF.
  8. I have a question (not directed at you, King of Semolina), does welfare/Wic/etc. cover the cost of birth control (be that condoms, the pill, etc.)?
  9. Hey, slow your roll there. He might have been making assumptions about ME and MY close-mindedness. :)
  10. Gee, I wonder who will "win" when schools fight it out and some schools get to pick and choose which students they accept and the other is left with the rest. And I'm not sure what you're saying with the pinnacle statement, but the US is certainly not the best in the world. And I doubt funnelling public money into private schools via vouchers is going to help matters at all. On an unrealted note, I recently heard a story about the German school system. At the end of 4th grade (9-years-old), kids are classified into groups based on their progress. The groups break down into College-bound, not-college bound (trades), and in-between. That seems crazy to me (and to be fair, parents don't have to comply with the classification, even though most do). I can't imagine that working here, no-one would put their kids in anything but the top group unless forced.
  11. Who is he playing for these days? He was always a fun interview when he was with the Sabres.
  12. I don't know how many Indians are vegan, there's a lot of dairy in the Indian food I've had. Vegetarian is pretty common though.
  13. He was picked by Darcy, duh! Never mind that he's a big scoring forward.
  14. Realm of possibility? Not, it's not out. But I don't think it's likely. At 20 goals, Tyler Ennis is tied around 90th in goals in the NHL. On average, that means he'd be a borderline top-3 forward in the NHL (30 teams * 3 players). 4 or 5 players above 20 goals isn't impossible, but the Sabres will be having a pretty good year (way better than I expect) if they have 4-5 guys that are scoring on pace to be a top-3 guy on an NHL team.
  15. I agree, but every team was in the lottery before, just that if you were worse than #5 you couldn't truly "win", as in get the first pick.
  16. I don't know that anyone is calling you on you opinion per se, but you pervasive this must be posted in every thread regardless if we're talking about TP.
  17. With Wegmans and good local chains in Primo's and Wawa, I haven't had a Subway sandwich in a long time. They're really the McDonalds of subs.
  18. No Foal (hahahaha, I slay myself)
  19. According to this link, the Leafs already have the highest (for 2013-14) ticket prices in the league. So if the Sabres raise the ticket prices enough, and then give the fans a break one year, are you going to complement the Sabres for giving back to their faithful? http://www.hookedonhockeymagazine.com/average-nhl-ticket-prices-2013-2014-season/
  20. Duck in A. live up to billing.
  21. SO you're saying I'll be able to find such a thing at IKEA? Even these? http://www.amazon.com/Swedish-Salmiak-Gluten-Licorice-Fish-2/dp/B00G3909ZS/ref=sr_1_18?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1430455902&sr=1-18
  22. Jack Eichel also isn't 22 like Larsson, nor will he have 160 AHL games behind him.
