What do you think of trading Kane, signing Vanek?
MattPie replied to Sabre fan's topic in The Aud Club
The one at 7:14 doesn't count, it was a shootout goal against Lehner! -

I'm not sure Ovechkin fits on that list. Other than his cap hit (and even then, maybe), I'd take him on the team any day. -
Update: Sabres sign D Man Viktor Antipin to 1yr ELC

These days, I take everything from P Ham with a liberal grain of salt. He's been writing and saying some strange things so everything he says is now questionable. His crusade against Reinhart using faulty stats, all the coach killer stuff around the end of the season, etc. has shot is credibility. That being said, he may be completely right about Kulikov and would explain why he looked so bad this season. I'm not attached to him, although I wouldn't mind seeing him under HCTBD if he wants to be back. -
I'm so torn, few things in non-Sabres hockey would please me more than Dion making a mistake costing his team the season AND the Pens eliminated on home ice. What to do!

So no one legit then. ;) -

Is anyone legitimate saying this? It seems far-fetched. -
Some of it is pine! (I have the 6-drawer version of this, which apparently isn't available any more; it's adequate and doesn't look bad) http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/90318607/

IKEA stuff comes flat. :)

Could be a bearing issue too; my old Subaru suddenly got really rattly one day and the two places I took it too said probably a crank or rod bearing. Either way, no fixing it for less than the car. I did drive it for months like that, just kept the RPMs down and a light touch on the gas.

It only *looked* like a Whaley move.

For? I don't see anything like "J-bot hires Paul Hamilton as head coach" pinned.

I'm curious as to the rationale of 2010-2014; it excludes 2009 4th M. Foligno (347 games) and 2009 3rd McNabb (238 games (12 with Buffalo)). That being said, 2008 is a complete wash for late round picks (Myers and Ennis in the first, Luke Adam in the 2nd, long-time poster nobody after that).

Wildcard is coming up on his 20,000 post extravaganza. 4 years, 20k posts, 13 (or so) per day. What should we get him?

He's probably playing to the crowd. I'd bet most fans (and certainly the the meatheads on WGR) generally aren't pro-stats so he's not going to go out of his way to prove himself wrong *and* alienate people.

I wonder how many season tickets they have booked; Buffalo has something like 16000, so there's only a few thousand available for sale. Unless that number counts tickets that STH declined to purchase months ago.

This may be one of those times you can troll your ex and be correct too.

Romper: amazing what a few hours on a sewing machine, a few more with some guys and a camera, and the internet can do. I have a really hard time believing that those photos are any different than this: And if people want to wear them? Good for them, wear what makes you happy and f' the haters.

Ville Leino Sweater depicts time in Buffalo as "Jail"
MattPie replied to LikeEich's topic in The Aud Club
I still don't read "It wasn't working with me and the team" as calling the team out. Also, the idea that a 6 year $27M contract ($4.5M/yr) was a big ticket item seems so quaint now. :) -
I'm sure if this belongs here, in the music thread, or it's own. Princess Leia's Stolen Death Star Plans, a parody concept album put to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. (link is the first song, the whole album is there if you watch on youtube)

If Rutherford fired Bylsma in 2014, he should have won in 2015. :)

On a side note, Binghamton had the B-Rags years ago so it was a mix of Sabres and Rangers fans. Bingo is halfway between NYC and Buffalo, so that would make sense anyway. There are a lot of Ott'wa fans now with the B-Sens having been there for a number of years. Empire Sports was on my cable package and in-market so I could catch all the games.
