I hadn’t even thought about how job creation might actually be a bad thing with the revenue share. I don’t really see how they would get anything out of this. Creating a roster slot so that a guy can never play and constantly have to ride the shuttle to and from the AHL with no chance of going anywhere else… it sounds horrible.

3 guys with NHL deals. Unless there’s some handshake deal between the teams where they’re handing him back in a week or two (other teams can interfere), they’re adding another goalie contract at some time soon.

They’re in the same boat where Dostal can be sent down without waivers. I feel like they want him around though, 44 games played. So maybe Reimer does get waived pretty quickly. They have 5 other goalies signed (one injured for the year and another in Sweden), so I’m not so sure they will want Reimer in the minors. The contract is dirt cheap though, so who knows.
