I was following a car this morning that had a license plate holder that said "Lake Placid, NY 1980. Olympic Winter Games". It clearly wasn't 35 years old though (could any license plate holder last that long anyway?). Why would they be making a product like this at least 30 or so years after the event? It kind of seems odd to me.

I have a hard time believing that Urkel-Os are a forgotten 80s cereal given that Family Matters first hit the airwaves in September of 1989. Not much turnaround time there.

Far too often some random topic comes to mind that I want to talk about, but it really doesn't fit in any thread. I think we need a thread that can act as a dumping ground for that kind of stuff. It could be a nice little place for people to vent out all their crazy off topic stuff that winds up hijacking threads too. Random conversations, talk of dinosaur deities, it's all stuff we need to get out sometimes. If nothing else, it could serve as a "get to know you" type of place, to see what makes certain people click. Anyway, my random question of the day that didn't deserve it's own thread: why do radio stations east of the Mississippi start with a W and those to the west start with a K? I'm sure it's some archaic system, but radio call letters seem so pointless now.
