After reading what either paper wrote, I'm not so sure we can consider that to be "devoting resources". The articles are about as long as this post.

This is all, of course, assuming that Skinner would want to stay.

This reminds me of something going on in my neighborhood. Apparently two river otters have taken up residence in our retention pond. So far I've only seen one distant cell phone video, so hopefully I can find a way to get a closer look to see if that is in fact what they are.

Dahlin and Mittelstadt Playing in The Fattey League Tonight.

It’s a hockey family in the area. One of the brothers used to be a part of the video scoutin department and last time I checked, works with the program they ha e going at harbor center. -
Happy birthday to me!

I think you nailed it right here. Whether or not we like the deal is meaningless at this point. It is done and that cannot be changed. All that matters now is what these guys can do for this team. Hopefully that is what we can discuss in here. After all of that, I think we can dismiss the cap discussion, at least when it comes to Sobotka. Berglund could be more of an issue since he has 4 years left. This team doesn't have any current cap issues over the remaining two years of Sobotka's deal. I think you nailed the rest of what is needed from these guys as well. Ideally, they help to give this team a little more depth. We need them to be supplemental pieces to this team. In terms of the trade, that's also what they were.

No #2 is probably a good thing. Might not mix well with all that itching

Just be glad Eichel never wore an A at BU. Their official color is scarlet.
-
I wonder if they could still work out another deal similar to the Skinner one. The ammo is there, especially after seeing this price.
-
Next trivia question: What did happen during those three hours?
-
Was it a full NMC or one of the limited ones?
-
The second those arbitration figures came out, this was the most likely scenario. They keep him around without breaking their back on the price tag and he gets a sizeable raise. They then move him at the deadline and he hits free agency during the summer.
-
Sadly he'll never be able to play in to pro bowl since he'll be in the superbowl every single season.
-
Does this mean I need to buy stock in Sahlen's?
-
Now we just need to get rid of the lame "Botterill hate CHL players" crap. People should probably look up where Skinner played.

This move is good for an extra 0.5 powerplays brought on by a dive per game.

It really is just a matter of semantics at this point, but 11 and I both seem to be looking it from the angle that farm system and prospect pool are a different thing. With that, using both interchangeably leads to some issues. I think that might just be an issue with whoever slapped the title onto that story. But whatever, once we move past that, it's very safe to assume that this specific ranking is very heavily weighted by our top 2.

It's a combination of the two. Pittsburgh hasn't drafted in the first round since 2014. The Craps traded away all of their 1st-3rd round picks in 2017, the draft that would populate a good portion of this list. Nashville did the same with this year's draft. They have provided minimum development to him at this point. Everything that Dahlin currently is, is a product of things done outside the Sabre organization.
-
I'd be more willing to count Mittlestadt, but I'm with you on Dahlin. Absolutely nothing of his current status can be credited to anything Buffalo Sabre.

That guy who I always think of with all the Rusmus' this team now has. I didn't want to say it since it was somewhat of a google result. I wasn't sure whether or not he was born in Mn. This was my third. I wasn't sure if he got into a cup final game or not based on the fewer games played in the playoffs.
-
Even with the internet I'm having a hard time with the 3rd guy. I think I have it, but I'll wait and see how this plays out.
-
The connection I was getting at had nothing to do with Perreault. Housley and Andreychuk were drafting in the same year, both in the first round. The Sabres also drafted Paul Cyr in between them. I sure would love to get that same return out of the three picks they have next year. I'll accept a mediocre Cyr if the other two are hall of famers.? As for your question, I can get Holzinger from the 99 team right away.
-
Those top two may just be the top guys on the entire list though, depending on who does the ranking. That's definitely a rarity.
-
There's actually a third guy who ties into the interesting connection. And another one I just realized now, both of those guys were traded away for another eventual hall of famer.
-
It drops off pretty quickly considering that the top two guys on the list won't qualify as prospects anymore after this season, using the criteria they outline. I suppose #4 Guhle could fall of too if things go well for him this year.
