I was about to use the office toaster oven when I was met by a huge pile of old office supplies that someone had abandoned. For some reason, they decided to use the toaster oven as book stop for what had to have been about 50 paper folders. immediately to the other side was a ton of old binders just randomly thrown all over the place. Even touching the oven door, I could see that whole stack shake. Not wanting to burn the office down, I needed to move those folders, but the stack of binders was going to go all over the place. So I had to rebuild this person's entire pile of garbage, because the thought of an untoasted bagel was too much to bear. Come on people, using an object whose entire purpose is generating heat to hold up a stack of paper? You didn't really think that one through. We actually had a kitchen fire two weeks ago too. I was kind of hoping I just helped you to discover a new act of sabotage from that winner of a neighbor you've got. It makes me realize the awkward people who used to be nextdoor to us really weren't that bad after all.

One of these things is not like the other...

@Samson's Flow, did he steal your license plate too?

It’s only fair that you return the snow to its rightful owner

Now if only X would come back.

They want less press as opposed to more press. I wouldn’t go as far as the generalization about abuse vs protest. Ray Rice never made it back either, granted he was well into the downside of his career at that point. Thats another aspect about this. People will disagree as to whether or not kneeling is disrespectful to the flag, but there are a good number of people out there who think it is. So with Kap, there’s proof that he kneeled. To this point, there is not yet proof for Foster. That’s going to shape the public reaction in both cases.

Those doorbell cams are blatantly obvious. Why does that guy hate you?

I remember hearing that initial story a few weeks back. I’m not questioning whether or not he said it, just whether or not it’s completely accurate. “Like” 5 times leaves wiggle room. That and I’m never quite sure why we take some at their word and others we do not. As for Foster, I’m not saying I don’t care I’m just getting at the Kap comparison. The NFL isn’t as concerned a put it because it has generated nowhere near the same level of attention as the whole flag thing did. They live by the court of opinion and until it gets that mass attention, they won’t do anything.

That software change was so shortsighted. Thanks to it, I will never know how many times 11 changed his name to and from Santa Claus. And I have no idea why my phone autocorrected “Santa Claus” to “Santa Claud”, but I’m glad I caught it before I hit submit.

@josie, sorry about the lack of quotes. It’s too cumbersome for me when I’m posting from the phone. I’ll try this approach with the tag from now on from the phone. Anyway, like you said earlier, it’s ok to disagree. If anything I’m saying here somehow looks like I’m putting you on trial, that’s not my intention. But to say that no one is bothered by this, clearly that’s not the case or else this thread doesn’t exist. Also, I never said that I have no issue with any of the things you mentioned, just that they appear to be less prevalent. If they were phased out, I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.

Torture jokes go way too far Kids, it is no joke. We do not condone Nickleback in any form.

I was going to suggest the same thing, but it needs to go much further. It needs to be the international unit.

Actually I’m Matt pie. That other guy currently posting under that name is an imposter.

I’m not so sure I’d label this one as pushing the line. The filter exists and we are all aware of it. That means that the rule is already in place. People know what gets filtered and knowingly modify the word so that it gets through. That’s clear intent to violate the rule they know is in place. The rest of what you have mentioned, Josie, is a bit more cloudy since no rule is in place, or at least not one that the majority is aware of. That said, if someone ever decides to circumvent the Pomenstein filter to make the original misspelling show up in the post, they should be banned, tarred, and feathered on the spot.

Ahhh ok. Any name changes over the last year or so have been completely lost on me.

Are there many of those avatars? I barely even look at that side of the screen anymore. Only one comes to mind immediately. Anyway, those were struck down over on TSW years ago so I'm kind of surprised it never happened here. It goes right back to the added attention of extra posting volume I guess.

It took you a full season to do that? Slacker. What was your original username? I hate that we can't look those up anymore.

I'll be completely up front here. I am not the person who made this current complaint, but I have done it in the past. I was just looking through the PMs I had with freeman about it. So it's not just something that is new today. If this team continues to play the way it is, we're about to get a large spike in activity around here. It's the perfect time to raise the bar a bit and improve the quality of conversation.

There have been comments throughout the season about how Housley wants guys to play specific roles. It does look like guys like Berglund and Sobotka, and for that matter Girgensons and Larsson, fit well into the exact roles Phil has in mind. They may have been expected to be more in previous years, but right now, they're providing exactly what the team needs for a balanced roster. Berglund isn't paid to play that role, but it's far from a backbreaking salary.

Here it is yet again: Disguise" f-bombs by changing the spelling. What part of that do you not understand? It says absolutely nothing about not having asterisked posts.

I'd imagine that the privacy of the policy wouldn't allow for them to provide documentation of exactly how many times he's been tested. I wonder if audio of the comment is out there because that wording still makes me question whether or not the number is accurate. The tone would help. Either way, it doesn't seem to be something anyone's focusing on too much, so it's not tipping the outrage scales. These things only matter if people care. That's the thing that really confuses me when it comes to things like the Foster story. Why doesn't that story generate half the attention that other stuff does? I have a hard time blaming it on the NFL when based on the limited coverage, no one else seems to care either.

And it gave us the Pominstein filter, which is the greatest thing in the history of this board... other than Wilbur.
