So if it was 4th down, that TD would have instead been placed at the 1 yard line where Jones fumbled? Hey, that time it was a question!

It's a shame that it's next to impossible to piece together an international tournament that everyone cares about. There's so much talent out there to the point that each of these teams could be a serious threat over a two week period.

And he's only on an AHL contract, so if sauve's question was hinting at the possibility of him getting a call up, the answer is no.

I could see them targeting a mid-roster center later in the year, someone who can fill in that 2nd/3rd line role. Who might be available at that point, I don't have the slightest clue.

Rules question: I thought you weren't able to gain yardage on a fumble. Wait, that's not a question.

I think it’s laughable to think that the team or Eichel would even bother to respond. I’d quote Frank Drebin and say that there’s nothing to see here, but there really is nothing to see here.
-
Is it common place though? This specific tweet only suggests that it may have been common place back in 2011. I'm not really sure what I would consider as the cutoff point for something like this.

Just once I want to see it done after an intercepted pass leads to a breakaway goal. Either that, or after one of those crazy up-ice passes that Hutton likes so much.

The one thing about Skinner that I've noticed a ton of and I love is that on what seems like most of his goals, he's immediately giving the "great pass" point to whoever set him up. I'll never get sick of seeing that.

I guarantee that there are people out there who have an entire database where they have saved any questionable social media comments that famous people have made, just waiting for the right moment to release one of these "stories". I find that infinitely more troubling than someone saying something stupid when they were a teenager.

He knew exactly what he was doing by leaving Buffalo open as an option. Personally I think it was mostly about playing with that elite center as opposed to the city/team itself. I'm perfectly ok with that. Now we're at the point where hopefully he falls in love and continues to thrive here.

GDT Montreal Canadiens vs Buffalo Sabres 7:30pm ET 11/8/18

His Hobey winning stat line was 26-45-71. So yeah, the goal total may be a bit down this year, but he's always primarily been a setup guy. Playing currently with a guy who is practically leading the league in goals, that assist column is going to go through the roof. But let's not kid ourselves, he'll find away to around 30 at some point, and if he can get Skinner over 40 at the same time, things are going to be very good around here. -

Absolutely. He’s shakey as hell right now -
I’d smack the kid (oops, that’s probably offensive too) and then respond “biologically, you are my son”.

He's fortunate that it's only a groin injury. If Mario dropped the bridge out from under me and I fell into lava, it sure as hell would be a lot more than just a groin injury.

Comparing how often that word was used when I was 14 to 16 years later when he used it, I'd say things have definitely been moving in the right direction. So if they're talking about a change in culture, it's been in motion for a long time now.

I'm glad I was going northbound on the highway this morning and not south. A bus hit a car and causes a 5 car chain reaction collision. Fortunately it looked to be very slow speed because there wasn't much damage. Still, the traffic was backed up for about 10 miles on that side of the road because it's only 2 lanes. There's going to be some very hostile people in certain offices this afternoon when they finally get to work.

I have no problem with the so called vigilante justice, but it needs to be done within the confines of the game. Lucic clearly did not do that.

It seems like AMC has a new business model. Right on the heels of them announcing those plans for the Walking Dead, a story comes about about Breaking Bad. It's no coincidence.

They connected the players to the driver. With all the crazy things that people sue over in this country, you'd have to believe anyone considering going after an Uber driver would also go after Uber itself.
-
Hockey players from Ottawa in Arizona? I'm not so sure that counts as public figures. More people out there probably know who I am and I've never even set foot in that state.
-
I don't have to sit through political ads in the morning after today. It doesn't get more awesome than that. It's too bad though that they'll come back with a vengeance.
-
The guy isn't, but is uber? Not that it really matters though. I can't imagine it being worth any of these players' time to pursue it.

I'm asking for a friend. (where's the damn ninja emoji when you need it)

This is a new one. Doctor conducts a test and then give you bad news. The doctor then leaves the room, reviews the previous chart, then comes back and essentially says nevermind. That's enough to confuse most people. I suppose it probably sits with a person better to get the gut punch first then follow it up with positive news as opposed to the opposite order.
