As a total outsider on all things Amerk, I kind of miss those days. It was a very entertaining read. Now I just wish I could remember the username in question.

They have so much money on LTIR right now that it's next to impossible for them to be saving any cap dollars with moves like this. I wouldn't be surprised if they need to play some of these games to keep the team under the roster limit on certain days. They've have a lot of bodies when you add in the 3 guys on IR. Or it could be something so simple as wanting him to play against the Marlies.

This whole conversation reminds me of the South Park episode where they need to elect either a giant douche or a turd sandwich.

Of course there are multiple cuts. Could you imagine the filming process if they had to do it all at once? 90 minutes in and the guy boots a line, oh well, have to start the whole thing over. I do want to watch that again just to find the cuts. Some are kind of obvious, like a shot of the sky or when the camera pans past an obstruction. But whatever, the whole thing was pretty impressive. I’m sure it’s a lot easier to do now than it was 50 or so years ago.

Waivers is probably a poor choice of words. It’s not the ones that people will think when seeing that word

Oh come on, let's not take it 100% literally. Obviously I'm exaggerating a bit for the sake of making a point.

Now that I've moved beyond the fanatics I'm enjoying it again. I mean, the show as a whole was fine when that storyline was going on, but I found myself tuning out any time their scenes were on the screen.

Based on that mask, I'm a little worried that he can't actually identify the color that his teammates are wearing. Maybe the settings on my tv are way off, but I can't picture that thing meshing too well with red white and blue.

Regardless of what his intentions were, you don't think that there are plenty of people sitting at home, seeing these reactions, and trying to plan one of their own? In a day and age where people post videos of them eating tide pods, a fake radio rant would be so much easier.

Yeah, just what we need: more people making whiny rants on sports radio so they can get their 15 minutes of fame. A true hero.

What the media is reporting ultimately doesn't mean all that much. The CDC and WHO are going to have a much better sense and those are the types of organizations people should be paying attention to. If you want the numbers and details, go straight to them. Whether it's due to ignorance or an agenda, using the media or politicians as a middle man for this information has a good chance of clouding the details.

So which line is he skating on?

"Losing their most loyal fans". How exactly does that work if there are still fans around? Are the less loyal folks still sticking around? If that's the case, aren't those ones the most most loyal fans?

Special one day out of the week threads lose their luster if we make an identical thread for a different day of the week. But hey, we have to be sure that people hit their daily quota for starting threads.

I've been binging Game of Thrones over the last couple weeks. That show had to have been maddening for those who watched it on a weekly basis. There's so many moments where a character will have a major moment and then not appear again for several episodes, or in some cases, several seasons. It's one thing when you watch several back to back, but on a weekly basis I'd imagine people forgot some of the storylines. Then with some of the child actors, they're significantly older the next time you see them.

Hertl? I'd imagine that would have to be a huge "buy low" scenario coming off of the torn ACL/MCL combo. How long is he out for?

How many players in this league can drive a line on their own? I'd imagine it's a very short list. We're fortunate to even have one guy who can.

And the goaltending part really wasn't all that crazy of an expectation from this group. Hutton was never going to be anything special, but his drop-off this year has been crazy. I don't think even the most pessimistic would have called this one. And this all happens at the same time that they add on a goalie coach that people were hyping as a savior (a bit hyperbolic, I admit).
