  1. They have media people? It really does seem like a skeleton crew. The guys on the main station down here covering them are all doing it as pretty much a side job. They're on regular radio shows and then do double duty during the hockey season. It doesn't really look like a spot where they're going to be adding people and payroll.
  2. He's had multiple BU teammates here since day 1. Rodriques, O'Regan, Hickey... and then they had two more briefly in Rochester in Cason Hohmann and Matt Lane. If he wanted to be somewhere with old teammates, this place has been very friendly in that regard. It's not going to be former teammates that drive any decision he makes.
  3. Their radio coverage down here is pretty bare bones. The pregame show sounds like it's straight out of a college radio station.
  4. You're giving it too much credit. His target audience is Bruin fans, so he's writing something to catch their eye. There's nothing more to it than that. It's the equivalent of those "If I was GM" columns that Bucky would do each year.
  5. I love how a reporter writing a "this is what they should do" story magically turns into a "rumor".
  6. He also had all those funny one liners on SNL back in the 90s.
  7. And beyond sports, a good portion of the country is seeing right now just how tricky reopening can be. Just about everyone is operating with blindfolds on right now.
  8. The NHL? You do realize that every sports league is doing the same exact thing right now. Hell, the NBA is going to throw everybody into one area. That area just happens to be in the previously mentioned Florida.
  9. No inanimate objects? Peter Puck would like to have a word with you.
  10. Bob Sweeney went to BC. How dare you!
  11. I’m hoping for the day we get a “new” poster here named wohn-jawrow. Well have no way of knowing it’s him and then he’s free to be a completely normal person.
  12. Was it a rebrand though? They didn’t actually have a mascot before, right? oh, and be careful what you wish for because you might end up with Billy Buffalo.
  13. I consider myself an expert on being completely useless, so I'll wager everything.
  14. I mentioned it earlier, but some people just won't be happy unless you give them your sources. It's perfectly reasonable that you should sacrifice your career in order to satisfy an anonymous message board poster.
  15. I'll take completely useless threads for 400, Alex.
  16. Now go back and read the post with a sarcastic tone.
  17. I want to say she was outside. But anyway, part of the story was talking about the proper way to remove them and it specifically mentioned not pulling it down your face.
  18. Mask are probably about to be come mandatory inside public locations around here. So the news was running a story about the proper use. Once it was done, they cut back to the reporter who was presenting the whole story. Take a wild guess where her mask was. She was actually talking about proper mask usage with her mask pulled down under her chin. I want to rant about how clueless these people are, but I'm starting to think that they know exactly what they're doing.
  19. It's gone untouched so far, but this post is pure genius.
  20. And just to add to that one a bit, my friend's brother works in the analytics department for the Tampa Bay Rays but lives in the Seattle area. Even the whole "no one wants to live in Buffalo" mentality doesn't necessarily factor in here. A purge during a front office overhaul? Nope, never happens. People need to let the dust settle, see who the hire and then we'll have a much better idea of what their approach is going to be.
  21. He's getting up there in years though. That may have to be a 3PM bar brawl.
  22. I was going to request that the jujubes don't have the awful licorice flavor, but then I realized I was mixing up jujubes and jujyfruit. Seinfeld has too much power over me.
  23. I have no idea what I just read.
  24. I really think the days of finding that diamond in the rough are gone. You don’t have that prime talent wallowing away in obscurity. Every league of value, any one of us can find the games online if we try hard enough. So if you can efficiently mine that video, find the guys you want to see, and then get the boots on the ground, why not go with that approach. I think it’s definitely possible, they just need to hire the right people now.
  25. That one was the Van Ryn loophole, something that no longer exists.
