The best part is that Sutter is/was fully aware of all of that. It worked out well for them. It all seemed pretty subdued to me. He’s given plenty of fuel both to those who love and hate his style. This one really wasn’t much of that. Why go out there? I’d imagine it’s required by the league/contract.

They are the 3rd worst team out of the major conferences. But it is 9 wins in 30 games. Anyway, 11th worst in the nation (woooo, not bottom 10) and most of what is below them is independent/new teams. I like seeing them down there because they played such a boring brand of hockey for so long.

The main competition is who ever comes out of the bench on the other side of the red line.

Is that really recent though at this point, 16 years ago? The more recent one I think of is Carter Hart and that actually makes me curious to see if Levi could get some time at the end of the season. These kids come in and look really good when there's no book on them. They may falter later, they may not, but that initial rush can be fun to watch.

They use a ranking called the PWR (pairwise ranking) do determine seeding. They're right on the bubble right now, tied for the last team in. This thing updates with every single game played, including the conference tournaments, so there's still a lot of changes incoming.
