the all star game has never meant anything. if it meant anything to you it was because you where to young to know how pointless it is. earned it? like all the times the aging superstar that is not a superstar gets appointed to the team not because his on ice play earned it but because his name makes the sponsors happy? I for one am happy with the fan voting system. it puts the uselessness of the game front and center for all to see. personally I am hoping girgs is last picked, goes out and lays out some lumber and throws body checks during the game

So Stuart Scott died this morning (cancer). I remember watching him shortly after the ESPN2 NHL tv contract was signed. Back when you could see hockey highlights on a highlights show with ESPN's name on it. I didn't release until today and watching some of the tributes to him that I got my love and overuse of the phrase boo-ya from him.

seems like for the second week in a row the lions are going to be punished for stepping on players. Suh with the two step on Rodgers today.

I just want to make sure i understand how the defense of Ortonawsomeness is going down. First we compare direct stats to 2 different eras to make it seem like he is better than the franchise great. when that gets blown up due to silly things like stat inflation that was somehow overlooked in the original point. We turn outrage at being called out on said sillyness and turn to ya but who has been better since? did i miss anything?

any statement that has the underlined and is not about RJ is wrong. so if we are considering beyond what is done on the ice it is not old man perraulhtrgft. If we are focusing on what they did on the ice and in the league it still is not the old man because Dom changed the game with how good he was and how he did it. you know what gilbert is? he is Sakic if Sakic didn't win any cups. great player but never really the top 3 or 5 in the league. the kinda player you look back at and kinda go hmm i thought he would have done a bit more.

imagine some of the play by play guys on the national broadcasts doing the famous moments in sabres history. It would not be the same nor as loved. RJ is sabres hockey and when he finally packs it up and retires a bit of my sabres fandom will retire too.
