  1. Past hour
  2. Lots of injuries. His GP are 62 (rookie), 30, 53, and 30.
  3. Athletic article said one thing was Chinakhov not playing hard enough after returning from a back injury. Was he not 100% Who decides a player is slacking?
  4. Kinda sounds like something we talked about on this board...I think a few years ago. There are really 2 ways many of us enjoy a season as a fan of a team: Winning the Championship, or beating expectations. Only 1 team wins the championship, so that leaves the 2nd...beating expectations. With the Bills, the ONLY way to beat expectations is to win the title, and there is no way they can even do that until the night of the Superbowl.
  5. I wonder what he costs. Would be nice to be on the good side of a "guy wants out" trade.
  6. Well, one thing to consider is that SLC and surrounding areas are becoming Silicon Valley East... there are a ton of tech firms popping up there and companies moving HQ or major offices out of Silicon Valley. Naturally as those companies are coming in they are putting significant pressure on the government to enact more favorable policies. Speaking to a few people there things have really opened up over the past 3 years or so and it looks like its only going to continue.
  7. Trading Zach Benson is stupid.
  8. This is a complaint? Interesting. 🙂 Is this the most "foreign" post ever on this forum? At least one that used "English"? --- Still working on the status of my van... gotta find a new insurance company. Not sure any will be better but over the past few years Allstate seems to have really gone down hill. There are other reasons not to like them as well.
  9. Does Columbus need a Byram? To make room, one of Quinn, Benson or Krebs has to be moved, so could a package of one of the above, and a pick be attractive?
  10. I'm not familiar with this player, but if he can help the Sabres, maybe the Jarmo connection can get this done. Below are his stats from NHL.com.
  11. I would definitely make the call and see what the price tag is. Guy still has a high ceiling from where he's at. If we can get him for prospects or picks definitely.
  12. There is a euphemism of a euphemism in there somewhere.
  13. This is correct. Why the ***** didn’t Kevyn do the same for the Sabres?
  14. Look to be a PP & defensive improvement over JJ while a little less playmaking although I wonder if JJs linemates inflated his apples.
  15. Oh you Rochester watchers are going to love Kuntar. He's a tempest in a teapot and gets in everybody's face. Bruins fans were wishing he'd become a new s##t disturber for them but he didn't show the skills required for the NHL. He's an AHL guy but the kind of guy Rochester could use big time to go with their skill guys.
  16. While I'm not deep into the details of the Amerks' roster, I believe that their last two playoff exits were to teams that were bigger, stronger, tougher, and older, but perhaps less skilled. Adding some tenacity and muscle doesn't sound like a bad idea. Same applies to the parent club, except that in order to have a "playoff exit" you must first have a "playoff appearance."
  17. worth its own thread for sure. fwiw!
  18. Well, an overall entertaining Amerks squad might just get me out to a few games.
  19. Tischke is a former bottom of the roster D that is more than a willing combatant. Kuntar is obviously former Sabres goalie coach Les Kuntar’s kid. Haven’t seen him play much but his PIMs are rather high.
  20. Kinda seems like Peterka lite but ***** it!
  21. Some Amerks depth signings from today: “Rochester Americans General Manager Jason Karmanos announced today that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Peter Tischke and forward Trevor Kuntar on one-year American Hockey League contracts for the 2025-26 season.” Tischke exclusively played in the east coast league last year. I don’t expect him to make the Amerks roster. Kuntar is a former Jr Sabre and son of former Amerks goalie Les Kuntar. Brings grit and is not afraid of PIMs.
  22. Inky, tell me more about these two.
  23. So, Karmanos gets it. Wonder if he'll ever manage to explain it to his boss.
  24. Personally don't see Samuelsson nor Greenway as being nearly as important as the rest of what you've mentioned. Muel is (or should be) their 5th or 6th defender and Greenway will be middle 6 (likely 3rd line, though Ruff might mix stuff up) the 45 games they'll get from him. Expecting the Quinn we saw down the stretch is closer to what we'll get than the one that was totally lost at the beginning of last year. But it stinks that they haven't added at least 1 more forward to let his staying healthy and contributing being roughly as important as Muel and Greenway will be. (A nice surprise if they do pan out, but completely unexpected and not overly critical in the grand scheme. They need him to look like the guy he was turning into before getting injured twice.)
