  1. Past hour
  2. Absolutely, John. Face slaps depend on proper decorum.
  3. This is one of hardest lineups to slot in a while. We know who 8 of the top 9 forwards are with Doan and Greenway fighting for the 9th slot. The problem is we have almost no game film on who Norris fits with. We also have a ton of “scorers” with very limited proven playmakers except Tuch to match them with. Add Kulich’s limited experience and you have a ton of possibilities without many reference points. I can see an argument for Kulich starting the year as the center on any of the top 3 lines. The only thing that’s certain is Tage on the top line. After that, It’s going to come down to who plays well with whom in camp. The defense, besides Dahlin, only seems more settled, but isn’t. The key is going to be who Kesselring shows chemistry with. I don’t think Kesselring with Power is a given. What happens if he meshes with Byram and not Power. Does Power play with Dahlin or do they try Samuelsson with Dalhousie again. If I had to guess Tage Kulich Tuch Zucker Norris Quinn Benson McLeod Doan Danforth Krebs Greenway Dahlin Power Byram Kesselring Samuelsson Timmins UPL Lyons
  4. I see some similarities this past season to Timo Meir or however you spelling freaks will call me out on it lol. He has power forward type of size/ traits and just started throwing the body around from what I read this past season in particular. If that’s the case we just got exactly what many of us have been clamoring for in quite some time.
  5. If Wilford is such a bad coach, then why does Lindy keep him on the staff? Is he being forced to keep him on or is he simply satisfied with how he coaches?
  6. Is it unacceptable to slap someone with dirty gloves?
  7. I’d line them up against a wall and give them each a face slap with freshly laundered white gloves.
  8. Nah, they’re gonna raze KBC and Pegula will insist on an open-air hockey arena.
  9. Those corporate abusers have been and continue to be well documented over the years. And all those regulations, instigated by an activist and caring population and a media that cared about their public trust responsibilities, were on the books to keep them accountable. But they are the among GOP’s largest donors (thanks Citizens United) and this corrupt administration knows where their bread is buttered. Trump literally offered oil companies roll backs in pollution regulations and unlimited drilling on federal lands in exchange for $1b in donations to his campaign and they are just keeping their promises to the big polluters.
  10. I hope this also would include a massive renovation to update the building
  11. The Sabres will move games to the Northtown Center at Amherst before Pegula spends another dime on the team.
  12. Sending him to Rochester now to become a more finished product makes no sense. What you refuse to acknowledge is that he was an effective player for us last year. He certainly wasn’t a complete player due to his youth and his incomplete physical development, but he was not a liability when he played. If you made the argument that he was playing on a line that was too high, I would consider it a reasonable position to take. But your position that he should be sent to a lower league is off to me.
  13. My guess is they'll announce Pegula is buying the stadium with some degree of KeyBank involvement
  14. Today
  15. Toad The Wet Sprocket Artpark Lewiston Amphitheater August 15th 4th row.
  16. Backstory: It will be interesting to hear how this shakes out given the city of Buffalo *probably* doesn’t want to venture in the arena owning business.
  17. Kadri had another great year, but 7MM annually until he is 38 in 2029 is too risky. As much as I want to so anything to break the drought next season, the cliff is coming on his effectiveness and it’s too short sighted to take on his contract given his age. Unless you can talk Calgary into 50% retained for the life of his deal (likely impossible).
  18. I think he should be third line (or in Rochester) and his primary development goal right now should be adding muscle and strength. I want him to be elite when the process is complete but Sabres don't understand the development process.
  19. Kadri trade talks are picking up again. Don't know if it's due to the slow newsday summer season, if teams are calling on him, or if Calgary is actively trying to move him, but in any case I came across this article from Jersey on why they would be interested: https://newjerseyhockeynow.com/2025/07/29/new-jersey-devils-news-nhl-trade-talk-nazem-kadri-worth-acquiring/ Basically they need a 3rd line center that can play up if needed, that is responsible defensively, can contribute with goal scoring, and plays with an edge. Basically the same attributes the Sabres are looking for. The main difference is in Buffalo he'd be our 1 or 2 center instead of 3 in NJ. I think he'd be more likely to waive his 13 team no-trade for the opportunity in a place like Buffalo more than NJ because he knows/thinks he can still contribute in a top 6 role. I don't think he moves this year, but if he does I hope the Sabres are in play. His no-trade clause expires July 1st 2026 so he might want to pick where he goes this year while he still has control, if the team is looking to move on from him.
  20. There isn't enough experience, good enough goaltending, or good enough coaching to be a playoff team. Unless something magical happens, we will miss for the 15th year in a row and come in around 85pts.
  21. So are you arguing to deal him so he can thrive on another team. Although Benson still has plenty of upside to draw from that will come to fruition in the future, what you can't say about him is that even while still in the development stage he has hurt us. Whatever limitations he currently has as a young player, he is still based on his play considered an on ice asset.
  22. There are some who are trying to judge the trade as a JJP vs Doan. Framing the trade in that way makes little sense. The primary player we got in return was Kesseiring. The hope is that the defenseman should be a factor in improving a unit that needed to be upgraded. Also, if Kesseiring turns out to be a suitable partner for Power, then the deal looks even better. And if Doan turns out to be an energetic and gritty lower line player, then the evaluation of the trade should look a lot better for us. It's likely that JJP was the best player in the deal. But that doesn't necessarily mean that the trade on balance didn't help to improve our roster.
  23. Like in the late night club of a small rural town in the middle of nowhere comedy? Because.. it's not funny? But somehow you know that the powers that be in those areas have some really good access to golf.
  24. Laughable. That said, an activist and caring population would document corporations that abuse pollution controls and the public would force a change. But we all know that won't happen as that takes work. More work at least than being outraged that a transgender influencer doing a Bud Light commercial. The phrase that pays. Water, essential for life! Until you breathe it.
