A lot of chatter that Frondell could go as early as number 2 to SJ. He is the most interesting selection of the top 10 to me. Polarizing between those that don’t think much of him and those that see him as a Barkov type. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/sam-cosentinos-2025-nhl-mock-draft-how-will-the-first-round-unfold/ This has Frondell #2 to SJ too. Passing on Hagens at 9 to take Carbonneau is not something I would endorse.

I think you might be confusing him with Eklund, his winger? Frondell is a 6’2” centre, Eklund is the small skilled guy with pace.

Does he not do predominantly virtual scouting as well? -

Actually neither. Pegula has embraced the “virtual” concept. We have a virtual AGM who lives in Pittsburgh, a virtual senior Advisor who lives in Ohio and a virtual special advisor who lives wherever (Carolina?). At this rate, Pegula going to have a virtual coaching staff, virtual players and a virtual arena. -
Canucks the new team to hate. Fans not happy with this move. They didn't re-sign Boeser and then they helped a rival and took on this locker room problem child after the issues they had last year. This will go badly.

Yes and now he's going to ask his buddy Staal if the guy offered in a trade is any good and then he'll double check if it's okay with Jarmo (maybe). More clowns in the car. -
I joked we'd take him when draft positions first came out as he's more of the same of what have in the system. It seems like he might not be there as things are today. That said I prefer Carter Bear or McQueen.

Actually I can't. The naughty word filter got me. "half-*****" See!

Jordan's 4 years older than JJP but I mean it isn't a horrible move toss in does give us another right handed shot. Only issue since it's a 1 for 1 are we doing anything to improve the team? Not really so we'd still need another top 6 player IMO and a top 4 RHD and Goalie to pair with UPL or Levi and $8million less of cap room.

not unfair. it occurs to me: i don't really know a thing about laura -- a child of terry's first marriage. she's not a tennis pro and personal essayist (jessica). she hasn't come up with any harbourcenter restaurant concepts. (kelly). she didn't create the j1zz hat (matthew). what's laura's story? -
Then trade Muel to a team with cap room to spare for a bag of pucks.
-
What do we think of JJ for Jordan Kyrou? A new name that’s out there, seems kinda sideways for me, but he is a youngish veteran with term. Kinda looks like the Cozens/Norris move.
-
He looked good in his limited time here, yet think asking him to be anything more than a 5th or 6th defender now is asking too much.
-
For all his expectations, Hagens underproduced. He had two high end linemates, both of whom out produced him. Still, he'd collect his share of points by virtue of playing with them. The end story though is that Hagens was likely the passenger... Not the driver. I haven't watched him though, so the boots on the ground report may say otherwise. Hard to argue with the scoresheet though.

I'd rather have her in the meetings than Pegula himself. -
You can say ass here.

McLeod is okay too. And frankly I don't have a problem with the 4th liners he brought in. They were expendable and got dropped as appropriate. I don't think our 4th line was the problem. That's the least of our problems.

I agree here.. if he is traded its for a price that is a lower type pick that someone wants to take a shot at... I also think there is a solid shot we would have to eat some salary... I suspect if we agreed to eat salary the pic may be a little better... but I do think he may have a modest value. -

I agree especially with your last commentary... he has burned civilization as we know it to the ground as we know it... he has lied, failed and demonstrated incompetence at a level that needs to be seen to be believed... he has responded to it with silence, then smug arrogance and degradation of the city and fans... there is no way back for him, the earth is scorched... so any "words" that come out of his mouth with regards to the future I am certain will be met with abject disdain and ridicule unless there is bona fide success to back them up (we know the likelihood of that) ... the real question is how does Pegula not see the depths in which this joke has been driven into the ground.. or does he and simply doesn't care.... -

I really disagree that he has trade value. At minimum, partial evidence is the buyout rumors or truth of it. Players get bought out because they can't be traded. I'm not saying it's impossible that he's traded. IMO, if he is traded, we'll have to overcome his negative value and give up more or receive less. -
VAN is taking on the full salary.

2025 4th round pick. Cap dump.

I don't think it's unreasonable. They've all showed signs of being better players than they were last season. The question is: Who are they really? Are they the Better Players they've shown signs of in the past, or the One Step Back players we saw last season? Was last year their collective sophomore slump and they'll bounce back this year? Will some of them do so? Which ones won't?
