  1. Past hour
  2. At least some people are bringing it this off-season.
  3. I disagree. Can you say for certain that hot Rod didn’t sneak into our locker room with a liquid culture of staphylococcus that found its way into our shot blocking machine veteran go to defenseman’s boot and shin pads prior to game 7?
  4. How can anyone have any hope when you realize Terry and his band of clueless morons see Seth Appert as some hockey genius head coach in waiting? There is absolutely nothing in that man's resume that suggests he is any good at his job.
  5. I see where we're passing each other, not that I necessarily disagree. I think he can get 7 - 7.5 now, even possibly from the Sabres. I thought we were talking about a path for him to get north of 9 mil. I think that's a serious challenge and I don't believe he's getting 72/8 like Chychrun. Not in this contract. Maybe he signs a 3 year deal, performs on a team as you suggest and his next, 27 year old contract is high end.
  6. Pounded in the cornhole is the essence of being a fan of Buffalo sports. You grow up having acquired the taste without even realizing it. There is no not liking it anymore. Like warm deli meat on a over salty bun with those nasty seeds in rye bread.
  7. This is a lucid, intelligent, and well thought out commentary. Loved the "time and pressure in Shawshankian tradition" part. Terry has to get the point of realizing these that you have to compete for the cup to win the cup. Perennially watching the playoffs must end. Adams talks about a plan for sustained excellence when he can't deliver occasional periodic excellence. Maybe is time for an adjustment to the plan, or an adjustment to the people responsible (and accountable) for the plan? Instead we keep moving players out and watch them have great success in other places.
  8. And a competent GM And a owner that invests in his team
  9. Deffo NOT Edm Not after their D!ckhead coach came up with that snide throw O' shade at the Bills EFF Edmonton Id actually rather see Tor, Car, over them (which causes me to spit up bile) I guess of the 4, Winnipeg is the only one whom I'm neutral about. Matter of fact, b/c of bag o' d!cks Edm HC, I hope they go to, and LOSE, 4 SC finals IN A ROW!!!
  10. Today
  11. No one seems to be stating whether the injuries are related. Lower body could also be related to the back. I'm just risk-averse with the injury history for a team that employs Norris, Greenway, and Samuelsson, and doesn't use LTIR or spend to the cap.
  12. How many times are you willing to get pounded in the cornhole until you decide you don’t like it anymore?
  13. I wonder how different the two actually are. Paging @Brawndo, @Brawndo you have a call on the white courtesy phone.
  14. Me either. I think he'll extend in Vegas as one of the guys going after a Cup rather than try to go home and have to be the savior (granted, with Pasta) on a rebuild on the fly. I'm just saying I can envision a path where Boston could flip it around fast, as the Kings and ... even the Habs...??? have.
  15. I'm unsure what his current injury is. I think it's separate from his stress fracture. The thing is, a healthy McQueen might have been in the running for 1st overall. You'd have to really dig into those medicals because 6'5" centers with his package of skills are rare.
  16. If the Sabres were a good playoff team that held the 9th overall by trade/happenstance, yup, go for it. But they are not. He had the back fracture injury, then returned this season only to have a separate lower-body injury which he suffered an additional setback. Norris is already going to miss at least 20 games per season; the Sabres can't afford to have this pick turn into only a "what if". https://rg.org/news/hockey/how-roger-mcqueen-could-be-a-steal-at-the-2025-nhl-draft Personally, I skip him in the first round.
  17. Darren Dreger was on Sabres Live and said the message he got was Sabres Front Office will remain status quo
  18. He didn't have an Achilles rupture either. It was cut by a skate. Good news is at 9, he's still another yr in Jr's and an ahl season away at minimum.
  19. I don't even think it was a realistic option ever imo.
  20. My mother-in-law says that anytime you see a cardinal it's some dead relative stopping by. They're the state bird here in NC. The next time she visits, she's going to be so creeped out by the bird feeder I just put in. edit: And shortly after typing this, I look out my window and see 3 of them.
  21. Hate doesn’t need a reason, especially in sports.
  22. I can't believe anyone drinks any Bud beer product. It's only good for drowning slugs in your garden.
  23. And these studies probably don't even apply to Bear. They're based on adult NHL players and we're talking about an injury in a still growing teenager. He's outside of the scope of that work.
  24. Bud Light got hosed in Bud Bowl II. Budweiser fumbled the snap forward into the end zone as time expired and then recovered it for a game-winning TD. The Holy Roller rule in 1979 would've called that an incomplete pass in as would have applied in the 1989-1990 seasons when the game was produced, and today it could have been recovered, but not advanced beyond the spot of the fumble itself. Bud Light won that game. Am I the only one who gives a #### about the rules?
