  2. Reminder - the Bandits will go for their 3rd straight title at 4:30PM today on ESPN2 taking on the Saskatchewan Rush in a winner takes all game in Banditland. Let's GO BAN-DITS!!!!!!!!! (And immediately preceding that on ESPN2 will be the 6th ranked Syracuse Orangemen taking in the #2 ranked Maryland Twerps for the right to face the top ranked Cornell Big Red in the national lax championship game. Go 'Cuse!!!!)
  3. The more telling indicator is the number of players who have Buffalo on their no trade clauses. Pro players are competitive by nature. A franchise that can’t qualify to make the playoffs in nearly a generation certainly makes this location less appealing for many players if given a choice. It need not be that way because this location does have many attractive assets.
  4. Where did the report come from?
  5. Unless you’ve been hanging out with Doc Brown, I’m sure you understand how something that happens 5/14-5/23 can’t possibly influence a decision made prior to those dates. Hell, you could have said that they were successful in disrupting his routine and then actually be onto something. I said he was a hot goaltender prior to 5/14, it’s not exactly rocket science.
  6. Watch the video, read the article. How 'nice' the practice facilities are, how much room, how many things (lounges, golf cart parking etc) are not NEEDED for a good hockey team, but it certainly can be something a 20-something year old millionaire might prefer when making a decision where to sign.
  7. Today
  8. Since we're posting numbers from the past not the present. 🤣
  9. More Beastmaster for Sabretooth purposes.
  10. For the record, his playoff numbers currently stand at: 12 GP 7-5-0 2.35 GAA and .922 sv% He's consistent. For comparison, AHL playoff careers of some guys: Ullmark 0-3 5.5 GAA .800 sv% Lehner 14-4 2.1 GAA .939 Miller 13-13 2.37 GAA .916
  11. Yes, who cares about crunch series. In his last 4 games he has allowed 13 goals. That is not a hot goaltender. Unfortunately nothing he has done has made me excited for Sabres. I had high hopes for him. Hopefully I'm proven wrong.
  12. I’m picturing some Dr Strange portal action going in here.
  13. Levi? Kr said it was during game one and at that point, Levi had just put up back to back shutouts and allowed only 2 goals in the first round.
  14. He was on his knees in the corner. They sent a defenseman to each corner to mess with him while he was meditating. When he’d get up to leave they’d try to trip him. As far as I noticed the rest of the game Levi would stay in the net and do what he does. He’d have to move for the people cleaning the ice though.
  15. Ahhh, so he’s there first and they come over? That’s over the line then.

  17. The Trump Budget Bill seeks to destroy public education by creating a tax shelter for capital gains and funneling tax money to private schools that can reject students they don't want. The end result will be even more severely underfunded public schools that are basically segregated. https://www.npr.org/2025/05/23/nx-s1-5397175/trump-federal-voucher-private-school
  18. No I mean bringing Wilford back as defensive coach again
  19. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cn8z174gk3jo The King will be opening the Canadian parliament, something no monarch has done since the 50s. The speech will cement Great Britain's commitment to Canada remaining a free and sovereign nation.
  20. Not much Liiga, mostly with the national teams. I don't think Liiga is good enough nowadays to form players straight to NHLers, there are too many teams there and not enough players to keep up the speed during games. As you wrote, Helenius played hockey with men as very young, he was good enough to take a spot on a top line, good for him. On the other hand there are young players that become Liiga players but there are a lot to still be developed in their game. Now Liiga is not a development league, those young players are learned how to manage and survive, to adapt to tactics so they can be a cost effecient solution, when they should be working on skating and such things.
  21. I live in Panther country. Absolutely amazing how this team has turned around the past several years. They’ve spent a lot of time on the fan experience as well. The arena is in a beautiful area and is very affordable to go to games. We went to a few playoff games last year and the crowd was as passionate as anywhere else. Great time. Ofc they get heat they have no fans but it’s not true. They were just in a ten year period of horrible hockey like we are now… and nobody goes to Buffalo games and it’s a crappy dead arena and fan experience. Going to be quite difficult to turn the Sabres around.
  22. Edmonton has won 5 of 6 periods so far. Seems to be a much better team. Probably wins this series in 6.
  23. Rock/paper/scissors through the portal of time.
  24. Which would be fine if the coach had been willing to play them together at the beginning and ending of the season and if the GM hadn't already locked up Power to an $8M+ deal with a redundant skill set. You can always bridge him and hope that he doesn't get a(n internal) cap-wrecking offer sheet that allows sufficient money remaining for the guy to play with Power.
