If he’s not already sitting at the top of TSN’s trade board, he will be soon. The only Tuch chatter I’ve heard has come out of Vancouver media, and yeah — I get that his wife is from the area. But I’m not interested in draft picks coming back. The question is whether you can turn Tuch into a return similar to what they got for JJP.

Almost time to think about Gavin McKenna?
Crusader1969 replied to Crusader1969's topic in The Aud Club
Probably not. I would love to see anyone associated with the Eichel fiasco sent packing - most importantly the owner The Sabres would have 3 of the top 25 players in the NHL on their roster (using TSNs top 100). I find it difficult to believe the streak would still be intact with those 3 hitting their prime -
Jiri Kulich to miss significant time with blood clots
PromoTheRobot replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Back in my beer league days, I took a puck off the back of my calf and got a DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis, aka clot) I'm surprised more hockey players don't get them. Out 3 months, having to inject Warfarin daily. -
I predict a 3 game winning streak followed by a 15 game winless streak, followed by some .500 hockey through the winter, followed by a hot finish to miss the playoffs by 10-15 points, followed by renewed optimism that this team finally gets it and they just need to have a better first half of the season to compete for a playoff spot in 2026-27. Adams and Ruff sign 5 year extensions..... they finish the 2026-27 season with 25 wins, lose the lottery, and pick a 6-5 offensive minded defenseman who only hits people with his purse. Dahlin and Thompson ask to be traded, Adams kindly obliges and both go on to win multiple Cups over the next 5 seasons. This frees up Adams to sign UPL, Peyton Krebs and Jacob Bryson to 8 year extensions.
-
Yes they leave regardless of the surgery.
-
With the state of our injured roster, I will not be surprised to see another 13 game losing streak as we are already at three and counting. Hate to say that, but this team has a tendency to feel sorry for itself vs. galvanizing and playing even harder for each other in times of adversity. Hope like hell I’m wrong.

Jiri Kulich to miss significant time with blood clots
pi2000 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Yep. They were on a heater with Lyon.... scored the go ahead goal in the third period in Toronto... then UPL lets in a softy late in the 3rd which ties the game. This team hasn't been the same since. -
The lamenting of Worthy started the day of the draft, long before that playoff game. And just to be clear, my post is not an endorsement of Coleman in any way, shape, or form. I merely point out that for all the complaining, they have nearly identical stats since entering the league and that our offense has been better than KC’s since that draft, anyway. I just don’t understand missing a player we never had. Especially an under-sized, off ball receiver who is limited as a result. But yay, he runs fast.
-
I think a lot of it has to do with Worthy abolsutley appeared to "torch us" last year in yet another loss to KC. I don't remember the stats (too lazy to look it up also lol) but I do believe he was integral in us losing that game. I don't think Coleman has that ability (Baltimore game has not been repeated)

Jiri Kulich to miss significant time with blood clots

Maybe it's Pegula with the big giant curse..One more week of the NFL season and our whole team could be on IR. Sabres not far behind.,.,LOL -
If one takes a look at their career stats, one would see that Coleman and Worthy are nearly identical. Sure, Worthy has 22 more receptions but for only 8 more yards, while Coleman averages 4 yards more per catch. And they both have 7 TDs. This idea that Worthy would have been so much better for us is a short-sighted take at best. And AGAIN, as an undersized off ball receiver, he is LIMITED. There is just so much more to it than running fast in shorts. And it’s worth pointing out, that for all the teeth gnashing over Worthy, our offense has been better than KC’s since he entered the league. Why anyone spends a second lamenting the fact that Worthy isn’t a Bill is beyond me.
-
isn't the team already playoff dead?
-
It’s time for change. It has to be gutted from the top down. I know injuries and blood clots and wags almost dying aren’t the front office’s fault but they have had long enough. Injuries aren’t the excuse here. We’d find other ways to be exactly where we are now if healthy.

Fair enough. My view would still be coach has to look at who's going and who is ready and time it to the draw in the offensive zone. Ultimately it's on him and if they fail continually he needs to be fired. Whoever he is. -

Ultimately is Eichel's injury and Terry's refusal to work with him to get the modern surgery what destroyed the rebuild and any chance of avoiding the current death spiral? Do Eichel, Reinhart, and Ullmark leave if Terry relents on the surgery? -
