Ryan Johnson might stick around, particularly given the injuries on D. The fact that Zac Jones was waived and sent to Rochester seems to support the notion of Johnson getting some kind of shot, as Jones was expected to stay with the Sabres and possibly take the 7th spot from Bryson. That Bryson contract, although not very old, is not aging well. I think that most would prefer Johnson OR Jones over Bryson.

That's not a ####ing goat, you hoser. 😉

I can't believe Schumer caved to the radical left of his party and chose to shut down the government. It's going to be interesting to see what Vought does.

I L Well, if the crowd at the Fishies game was any indication, they've already sold a #### ton of the Lions/Cowboys Bills jerseys.

Yes more empty threats and pointing at players safely in the penalty box with two linsemen in between

Who said he's not getting paid?
-
Sabres need more of this:
-
And why presume, if they don't pay Tuch, that they'll pay ANYBODY the money that he would've been getting? Wouldn't have minded the Peterka trade as much had they been sitting at $1MM in cap space now rather than $5.1MM. Trading Tuch (because he'll be the best player in the trade going either way) or letting him walk is the proverbial "canary in the coal mine." Still have time to sign him; but have little faith that Adams will be able to adjust capably to the Kaprisov signing and what it implies for new contracts moving forward.

The proposal was SPECIFICALLY for setting up that full concierge service between the blue lines at ice level. Know this one for a fact.
-
They probably did. And if they did, it would be because they're dumb. The players collectively get exactly 50% of HRR. Not a penny more or a penny less. If Crosby on paper is getting $12MM / rather than $8.7MM/ then the denominator that everyones salary gets parsed by is $3.3MM larger. Wgaf what you earn on paper when what matters is what you actually have in your pocket at the end of the day. This ISN'T Gordie Howe artificially lowering everybody's salary by accepting a $1k raise each year and a new varsity jacket. (As the legend goes.) Crosby is actually RAISING everybody else's salary by a few bucks by taking the deal that makes him happy.

Yet Another Example of Fascist Behavior

The enemy within? You can take your pick of fascist leaders who’ve used this tactic. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/09/30/trump-military-cities-training-ground-00587977?cid=apn -
The D pairings are up in the air as Power has an undisclosed injury, Byram is recovering, and Samuelsson may be week to week. 🤷♂️

Jacob Bryson😝😁

Benson-Norris-Thompson Zucker-McLeod-Tuch Quinn-Kulich-Doan Malenstyn-Krebs-Danforth Dunne Byram-Dahlin Power-Kesselring Samuelsson-Timmins Bryson Upl, Lyon, Georgiev

Geertsen and Dunne will have roles this season for the Sabres. Whether that means they are on the opening day roster or not I’m not sure. But Lindy has plans for both of them this season
-
You guys know more than me. List your forward lines, D pairs and G. Thanks in advance.
-
If you don't pay Tuch, who are you paying to be a 65pt all around winger?
-
…and when Novikov goes back across the pond at some point, they will make excuses as to why he never got a chance.
-
WTF…absolutely not! my best offer and even this is ridiculous(I don’t care cap increases or not)… 5 years…9mil AAV. He says no? Deadline trade.
-
Just give him his 10 and make him happy, if he wants 12 tell him 6 years max
-
We have cap estimates for the next 3 years. I'm pretty sure the teams have some idea where the cap will be a year or two beyond that. I'm not against giving Tuch a significan raise based on the increased Cap. I personally just would look at the 'midway' mark of his deal (if he gets an 8 year extension, what does year 4 look like?) At his age in years 3-4 of an extension, what kind of player do you think he will be then, and what percentage of the cap do you value that? Even with that, you are likely to overpay at the end of the deal. Just do your best to make sure you aren't overpaying 2 years after the contract takes effect.

Kaprizov just busted it open. Marner 12 - he gets 17. Yikes. Tuch is going to be expensive, IMO.
