  1. Past hour
  2. We knew Norris and Muel would miss games this season. But it's game 3 and they're already both out. Norris has started 4 games for the Sabres, and finished 2.
  3. Iโ€™ll be lucky to make it halfway into the first period before heโ€™s begging for paw patrol. Iโ€™m not concerned.
  4. For most teams: Injury Prone means a player gets injured more often the other players For Buffalo: Injury Prone means you will miss games more than you'll play in them
  5. My personal favorite is the caller that will make some ridiculously stupid point and get buried for it. He then calls back with the same point for each other show somehow expecting a different response.
  6. He's going to play 500 games for the Sabres. Go goathead. Add an A to it, just to be safe.
  7. Getting my Jacob Bryson jersey today. Thoughts ?
  8. Lindyโ€™s oldest, and last trick. Put a mucker on every line. After this, heโ€™s out of tricks.
  9. Here we go again. Even the suggestion of the open-ice hit got him injured before the game started. I guess at least Johnson will dress, then. Novikov should make his debut within the month.
  10. I just assumed PASabreFan was talking in 3rd person.
  11. Samuelsson has an UBI getting imaging per Sabres
  12. I just read on social media that Samuelson is hurt and out again. Not that it's terribly unexpected with him, but these injuries are beyond comical.
  13. "This is a trap game if ever there was one." - Avalanche broadcast crew. "The longer you let Buffalo hang around in this game, or let them score first.... the worse it is." The Avs should go for the kill shot immediately. Skate hard for 10 minutes, net 2 or 3, and coast the remainder of the day. Add some empty netters to pad the stats.
  14. But actually we do, or at least I do. I put in my 20 minutes, 30 minutes, maybe an hour of discussion... Then I walk away and do something else. Another sport, listen to some maple leaf talk out of Toronto... A big part of changing things up for me though is when I'm traveling to turn on the radio and to be able to hear more than talk about one team over and over. Here isn't the only place though. In the early 2000s I lived in Boston and... As good as the Patriots were about to become. Sometimes WEEI was all Red Sox all the time. You would think even the bruins and Celtics didn't exist, and the Patriots would get a nod occasionally but nothing more.
  15. I can understand that. I think I'm different for a couple of ways. 1. This team and this franchise brings very little joy to my life... And it's been like that for a while.. 2. For a good part of my life, I had moved away from Western New York before returning recently, and I found out that I didn't need the daily talk about a local team for me to enjoy the sports. 3. I used to love the bills. Watched every game, always played with them when I was a kid in video games, memorized the rosters. Mega fan. Now I really don't care about them much at all. My life hasn't materially changed having the bills being a big part of it versus not. So no, I don't want them to leave but if they did.... It wouldn't have a major impact on my life... I would fill the void with something else and honestly... That's something else would probably actually be better and make me happier.
  16. That's sports radio/tv though. And we here at Sabrespace don't seem to get tired of the same thing non-stop....
  17. I avoid all of it. Itโ€™s sounds so ridiculous when the product is so terrible. Can we also please do away with anthems at sporting events? Whatโ€™s the purpose?
  18. I will admit I'm no longer a big Bills fan. Through the first 25 years of my life. I was a much bigger Bills fan but not anymore. Even with that said... What I don't get is when I do listen to wgr about the bills... It's just the same things over and over and over non-stop. Then the next show it's the same things over and over. I guess more people tune in when they talk about the bills so that's what they're going to do. But at some point... Doesn't the general population get tired of just listening to that repeated non-stop and want something a little bit different?
  19. That's awful... poor kids (and everyone). I've said it before.. dogs are better than people... so this kind of stuff just hits hard.
  20. Quite frankly, if this is the sentiment during game 2 of 82, the team is lost. Lindy makes no appreciable difference. The top players on the team arenโ€™t making a difference. The new players are hurt or inconsequential. Our biggest issue is not knowing how or when itโ€™s going to end. No one is being held accountable. Lindy doesnโ€™t like the effort, take the biggest offended from that game and make an example of them. Send them down, trade them or put them on waivers. These guys are too comfy being complacent. No incentive to try hard. So find players that will. I was wondering if Lindyโ€™s dinosaur brain could decipher what is unfolding in front of him. Based on what Iโ€™ve seen, he either doesnโ€™t know or doesnโ€™t care.
  21. You realize that if they win, your three year old will have to watch every game moving forward, right? Good lord. Two games in and you're already talking about next October?! Everything in your post could be done now and not have to waste a full season. I never put the sound on until the puck is dropped, if at all.
