  1. Past hour
  2. Except in March and April in the NHL where he's had 8 of 10 games giving up 3 or less and 7 of 10 games giving up 2 or less.
  3. https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/matthew-schaefer-roger-mcqueen-generate-intriguing-talking-points-in-mckenzie-s-nhl-draft-ranking-1.2299495
  4. This is always, FWIW, but I heard from someone who I interact with online often and I know has some ties to the org.
  5. Hearing on the street from people who might know, or is the media starting to pick this up?
  6. He's lived the dream for 4 years. They have one more (off)season to convince him to stay. If next season the same Sabres we've seen under GMKA/Pegula, then it will come down to what kind of player/person is he: Is he happy just to be here, or does he want to win the Stanley Cup?
  7. If it's anything higher than rink manager at the Harbor Center I'll be upset.
  8. It's why it's so important for the owner to take "accountability" and announce publicly that winning is back on the menu and the EEE phase is over. Until that happens, yes man GMKA can say whatever he wants about how all resources are available and it's a tough job and palm trees and woe is us. If he can spend to the cap, he'd have been fired 3 years ago because they had the best winning percentage amongst the East teams vying for the Wild Card and the only money they acquired at the deadline was Greenway. They could've bulked up that entire roster to close the season. Get the confirmation from the top, in word and writing, that the goal is winning.
  9. Heard KA is no longer the GM, but staying with the org. Other changes are happening as well. FWIW.
  10. Retooling is not the proper term. They need two top 6 forwards, 2 top 4 defensemen, a starting goalie, a coach, and a GM to figure out how to do it all. With Florida, Tampa and Toronto in their division, playoffs are still YEARS away without getting a ton more talent.
  11. That's good on the Rousek front. Having Brannstrom in the lineup should be an improvement overall for the club (if not for Komarov's development). Neuchev is definitely out. He had season-ending shoulder surgery in early March. Maybe, maybe if there's a very long Calder Cup run, but I think they said he's out next preseason.
  12. Today
  13. Leone said he probably would have played if it was a must-win game. Speaking of injury, I don't think Rochester missed a beat without Komarov. Brannstrom is probably better, and Brannstrom was probably the 6th-best blueliner last night. Metsa, Rathbone and Clague look very good to me at this level. Prow is longer-term, but from what I've seen he shouldn't be a starter even if he was healthy. From what I understand, Neuchev is not going to be available.

    Alex Tuch

I am sure he would stay, its a home town of sorts to him... but he is not gonna forgo Millions and Millions with a limited career to stay... So, to throw out numbers just theoretical he gets 9mm on the market... and Buffalo offers 8mm he may stay... Buffalo offers him 6mm probably not ... on a 4 year deal thats 12mm... these guys don't play forever... that said, I do think the Sabres find a way to keep him...
  15. Has a decision been made if Adams and Pegula will have Duff's or Gabriel's Gate for lunch?
  16. They’ve spent under the cap for more than half the drought
  17. Along the same thought, Rousek and Komarov missed game 3 with injury. I didn't see any details on it, so I'm not sure if Rousek is out for an extended period. He's an important board-worker and glue guy for any top-6 AHL line.
  18. Lets go Blues!
  19. I want to add that a very similar Syracuse team completely neutralized Kulich in last year's series by pounding the crap out him. It didn't work this year. You gotta like the progress.
  20. That is accurate, it was the COVID year where the money seemingly dried up
  21. They did for a bit when Eichel and ROR were both under full contracts. They definitely didn't while they were setting up the suffering: https://web.archive.org/web/20140210135404/http://capgeek.com/archive/ $8.7M space in 2012-13 and the infamous $4M to Meszaros to get to the floor in 2014-15. But the purchase/shutdown of capfriendly eliminates the middle years between capgeek and capwages.
  22. Anything these bastards can do to make the country worse, they will do. Anything. And to do it in the name of “efficiency” is pure crap. Cutting programs that actually serve the citizenry and make us safer is antithetical to efficiency because it will end up costing far more than these bull$hit savings they claim.
