  1. Past hour
  2. build it up? they were in the frozen four this past year.
  3. Today
  4. I know you didn't ask me, but I'd say it's too early to tell. I hate the man, his messaging sucks, but he's got some wins to go with the losses.
  5. I clicked on the first one I saw Demoted post, and this is in no way a shot at him or his videos, but I've never clicked on a second one.
  6. Ya I mean that’s gonna be a cool 10 in a row for the blue jays
  7. But, it worked for the Swamp Cats. Having Alex as the backup HAS to be a plan.
  8. Yep. Billionaire owners and ran one of the lowest team salaries in the league every year but the 1st year Adams was the GM (and apparently this year too; but will wait until all the dust settles to say that for sure) and never ONCE took on a bad salary for a prospect or a pick nor acted as the intermediary in a 3 way trade to take on salary for a prospect or a pick. And every single time that cap space that they hoarded every year evaporated the day the regular season ended. Wouldn't it have been nice to have 2 more 2nd round picks, 1 more 3rd and another Savoie that could've been moved for players to help today? But courtesy of buying out Skinner in a season they didn't have to and in a season they didn't bother replacing his salary, they're running with $4MM less cap space than they could've and next year they run with $6MM less cap space. Soooooo frustrating. They may get lucky one of these years; maybe even this one. But planning on getting lucky when you aren't Leonardo DiCaprio probably isn't the best plan.
  9. Stop distorting what has been said. I'm certainly not make a declaration that our current goalie staffing is adequate or not. I don't know. That's the unknown. What I and others have said is if we get consistent goaltending we should be in a position to compete for a lower playoff spot. If you disagree, that's fine.
  10. Power doesn't have to start smashing people around (as nice as that might be to think about) but he does have to start using his size and boxing people out. His defensive skills are somewhat lacking at this point. Part of that is on the Sabres, and part of that is on him. So you didn't like the Mrtka pick then? 🙂
  11. At this point it's a whatever. There is no ( and never was a ) long term plan and there was no actual roadmap to fix what is wrong with this team, goaltending and actual defense, this summer. Adams makes moves just to look like he is doing something without actually accomplishing anything. Whether Byram stays or goes it doesn't matter. Keeping Byram is the failed status quo while trading him almost assuredly diminishes the team further. Remember that this is the GM who has traded away our 5 most productive Sabres drafted and developed forwards. Gone are Eichel, Reinhart, Mitts, Cozens and JJP. In return we have Tuch, Krebs (4th liner), Norris (oft-injured), Kesselring, Byram (?), Doan (bottom 6), Levi (minors), Kulich, Östlund (minors), and JBD (released). This looks like a huge downgrade in talent and the results in the standings speak for themselves. Why would any fan expect Adams to get good value for Byram and players who would actually improve the team?
  12. I do not believe that is true. Too many teams around them got better and they just shuffled out a little offense for a little defense and switched fringe goalies. Consider for example that Detroit traded for Gibson because Lyons wasn't getting it done and now we think signing him is going to get us in the playoffs? Stop dreaming. As I said, Detroit ditched Lyons and now we think he will get us in the playoffs? Seriously?
  13. Many teams are not cap strapped like the post Covid years. KA’s failure to weaponize his extra cap space for 5 years is the straw that broke my camel’s back. Whether adding for a playoff run or taking on salary for picks/prospects, those days are gone.
  14. Not trying to be an a$$, but can this group actually play DEFENSE well in our own zone? No doubt it is a highly talented group, but I wonder if it still has enough snarl, physicality and a defense first mentality. I hope they prove me wrong. Also, somebody please fire Wilford in a rocket off into the sun
  15. Yea... could have had Cossa but nope... Rosen.
  16. What grade would you give Trump?
  17. Yesterday
  18. I love infrequent posters. We need fresh ideas in here. It’s turned into an ugly echo chamber. I mean how could it not with the current state of the team but nonetheless always appreciate different voices in here.
  19. We had Ullmark on our team and fumbled it away. Although Jack isn't a goalie, we had him and for a variety of reasons fumbled again. We had Reinhart in the system and the ability to extend him and didn't. He subsequently said I'm out of here. I'm aware that the focus is on the goalie position but the circumscribing problem is organizational ineptitude. There's a recognition from even within the system (exhibited by players who want to get out and do get out) that this franchise does not handle its basic business in a competent way. The accumulation of its own missteps has plagued this troubled franchise. Ask yourself, would this franchise be in a better place with Ullmark caliber of goaltending? When you kneecap yourself you will end up limping your way through a race. What makes this situation so ridiculous is that it has been going on for so long.
  20. lol… I got this dude. Ju lol … Just an original fan who doesn’t post much. Tell me I’m wrong. … I sincerely miss the Sabres being in the league
  21. An overpaid one dimensional offensive defenseman who isn't physical at all despite his size, is terrible in the defensive zone and isn't much of an asset on the PP. Does that about cover it?
  22. I’ve waited my entire life to have Dryballs
  23. Freaking mind blowing obvious. We’ve been loosing for so damn long. Always getting pushed/intimidated. Takes some snarl to get what ya want. .. How could this not have been apparent and addressed?? … Ya gotta play like ya wanna win. The talent level isn’t that far off. I would trade Powers in a freaking heartbeat
  24. Yes, but did you ever hit "send" on that email to Adams?
  25. I wouldn't know what is said in the video, just like I don't know what's in a tabloid because there's nothing enticing about it that makes me want to click the link (pick up the periodical). That was the whole point of my question. "Does anyone actually click on these videos?" I clearly am insinuating that I don't by saying I don't find value in them. You posting a video that looks like every other beggar's grab for their 2:30 of attention does nothing to entice me to actually click it. Big red arrows and the font looks like every "I test fart guns for a living and this is the best one!" type video. At least now you've said what is actually IN the video.. to a certain degree. Which could be helpful, still not helpful enough for me. And I'll say it. I honestly don't care if Trump went golfing when he does, etc. Just like I don't give a damn when my kids get on their Xbox or when they go to sleep. I care about their grades. If they can manage their grades and play Xbox all night, then fan-friggin-tastic. Why should I care? People will tell me it's bad "optics". That's such a BS explanation for "you think someone should act a certain way and they didn't". Does it really matter? People demonstrate their priorities through their actions all the time. That he went golfing should come as no surprised... The flooding is an absolutely horrible event.. that I can isolate from what Trump was doing.
