  1. Past hour
  2. It starts with the goat head and then the slug. May it bring them a decade and a half of success.
  3. I've been looking for a graphic designer type - whither @josie? - to explain why team logos nowadays all look so, so similar.
  4. Just wondering which of the national pundits (experts?) will be the first to downgrade the Bills' season to date (yeah, but ...) by pointing out that the combined records of the Bills' first four opponents is 2- 14? Surely there's a list of the usual suspects of Bills haters.
  5. Last year I picked up the Ryobi 80v zero turn 42” deck mower. Big yard, but cutting gets it done with around 25% battery left. 2 x 80v suitcase batteries and 1 x 40v multi-purpose battery come with it. It has the capacity for 3 x 80v and 4 x 40v fully loaded. Just haven’t had the need for justifying the extra battery capacity purchase. So, I am happy with its performance and, being an industrial E&I tech I fully appreciate the cost savings over gas and the environmental aspects. That all being said, I picked up the leaf collector accessory with blower motor for clearing the chute. I just ran it for the first time, completed 2/3rd of the yard before dropping below 10% on battery. Plus, I’m not overly impressed with the performance given the initial cost of $650 for the leaf collector accessory.
  6. ECHL team. Rio Rancho Events Center, 7K cap. About 20 miles north of Albuquerque
  7. Better, actually, if you look at the net yards numbers our actual punter is posting.
  8. My high school had it first.
  9. Meh-eh-eh-eh... Who cares.
  10. There doesn’t seem to be a hometown discount with this one. The no 🌴 effect was in full force, Guerin had to pay up. He is younger than Tuch but is he twice as good?
  11. Stumbled on this on YouTube. Seems to be a new series focussing on last season in the ECHL. This focused on the Idaho steelheads
  12. That is a boat load of money to pay a guy who has trouble staying on the ice. The first 4 years are the maximum contract they could pay him due to the 20% of cap rule at 19.1M per year. It may be a floor but it is also close to the ceiling of what someone can gat paid this year. Next year term length goes down and bonus money is limited to 60% of your contract. I don't know how this affects 2nd tier players other than there is less salary cap to go around for teams that are issuing a max contract. Right place right time for Kirill.
  13. Today
  14. Hmm Ryan Suzuki is on waivers.
  15. I caught the tail end of something about this on WGR. It also ties into some hunger charity--which one, I don't know, because I was too late. That may (or may not) have something to do with the timing. Also, they wanted white end zones for this but can't paint over the blue turf for reasons. Next year, however, they will be able to paint over the natural grass.
  16. HIs father and uncle played in the NHL, he should have good genes and learned something from them. Note I said should.
  17. We have the GOAT goat. But the present logo is the best one.
  18. There can be only one!!
  19. More like Samuelsson weak to weaker.
  20. I think a reflexive "huh? wtf?!" is justified in this situation. (Boy, especially given that it's gonna be another 80 degree beauty on Sunday.) Seems safe to infer that the ad wizards are just trying to print cabbage.
  21. I'm surprised no one has brought up the question of: "was camp too hard?" 😜
  22. Recent big UFA deals: Rantanen 8X$12M* Marner 8x$12M* Ehlers 6X$8.5M Bennett 8X$8M* Rough Tuch comparables signed over the past few years under the flat cap: Guentzal 7X$9M* Meier 8x$8.8M Konecny 8x$8.75M Reinhart 8x$8.6M* Stamkos 4x$8M* Buchnevich 6x$8M (*palm tree no-tax contracts) With all the unspent cap in the league.I think Tuch's got a good case for arguing he can get $10M if he goes to UFA next summer. Do people realize there are 17 teams (not Buffalo) that have at least $30M in cap space next summer? Hell, there are seven teams who could add a $10M player to their roster right now. Eichel and McDavid probably aren't going to get to market, so that would put Alex at the top of the pile with Conner, Kempe, Necas and Panarin. Supply and demand, baby.
  23. I don’t think most people have this brain problem that I have where everything has to make sense. I’ve been trying to recalibrate on the fly to better understand things. You touched on the exact thing that gets me there. Money. Follow the money. This is all the league cares about, my brain just fails to recognize that in isolated circumstances.
  24. Why did we make this dude a captain AGAIN?
  25. Bye Tuch. Actually. I’ll be ok with 10 million or maybe even a little more. It’s the length I have a problem with. We can’t give him 8.
  26. The floor is there for McDavid (and likely Eichel, as a Cup-winning near Conn Smythe center) to surpass. And the ceiling is set for the rest of next summer's class. What should Tuch's agent be asking for now? $12M? Kaprizov doesn't score shorthanded. If initial ballpark speculation was 8x$9 for 72, and Tuch's agent was thinking 7x$10.33. for 72.3... maybe a new sweet spot is 6x$12M for 72.
