Am not there yet; am actually more where the mindset was prior to Nolan's 1st year and Ruff's 1st year. Aka whole-lee-fack we're screwed. They seemingly didn't do anything to improve and teams around them on paper got better. But, in each of those years, things worked out pretty well. Can see a lot of reasons to be optimistic, but also several to be pessimistic. And on the pessimistic side, have zero faith in Wilford and Appert and little faith in UPL. BUT, last year even with all that still being the same, Ruff had them ready to go at the beginning of games. They have better defensive talent, if the talent can overcome the coaching, perhaps they can keep from giving up those early leads they should still be getting fairly regularly. Find a way to score some PP goals, even though Appert will do everything in his power to prevent it, and this could very well be a playoff team with middle of the pack or better goaltending. And they do have 4 lottery tickets. All of whom have flashed in at least partial seasons. And, as tix aren't selling, except for an out of town trip that will keep us away from 4 or so games, will likely be at a whole bunch of games, so ... LET'S GO BUF-FA-LO!!!!!!!

Sure, but how is that going to change if he doesn’t play here? The biggest difference between then and now is the pro season he had last year in Rochester (2.20, .917, and seven shutouts in just 42 regular season games).

Seth Appert

Levi has played worse every year he has been in the NHL. So bad they can't even give him time to try and get adjusted the last 2 years. Until that changes he can't be here.

My god, nobody wants to hear the negativity and misery one day into camp. What could you even complaining about? Using the Bruins as an example of how competition should play out? Haha what? There will be plenty of opportunity for competition - Benson is no way tied to top line, Zucker is in no way locked in to line two, etc etc. It’s the second day of camp! Like Tom said just looking for an excuse to be miserable. Not sure why you have to share it when the season hasn’t even started.

I actually am pretty confident they make the playoffs this year, for the record. However, and more to the point, is that while I understand the skepticism and negativity, not everything they do is wrong or outside the norm for the league. Every team in the league goes into camp with only one or two roster spots open, all but about three to five teams would like to upgrade their goaltending, etc. etc.

NHL preseason officially starts tonight: DAL v STL. Lots more games Sunday. Most are on ESPN+.

I’m not a clueless fan who is unrealistically optimistic. However, if I got to your level of pessimism about this team, I would cut the chord and do away with the torment.

They have the opportunity to have a defensively responsible puck hound on each line. Benson with Norris and Tage Doan with Quinn and Kulich McLeod, Tuch and Zucker all together.

Sabres prospect perfectly describes Sabres woes

Big fan here of Owen Sound captain David Bedkowski defending the net front in the Attack's Friday OT win in London. “You don’t have to be a bad guy off the ice, but, on the ice, you have to be mean. You can’t be friendly on the ice, guys who are too friendly on the ice, I know as a player, they’re easy to play against.” -

One can hope. There are a few guys who might emerge as the type of players they need but we don't really know yet. Veterans of that ilk added in the interim would have made me happier while we wait. -
From NFTA: The NFTA Game Day Express stops are at various park-and-ride locations and transit centers, including Eastern Hills Mall, McKinley Mall, the Metropolitan Transportation Center, and University Station, among others. The service is an express route for Buffalo Bills home games, providing transportation to and from Highmark Stadium. You can find specific stop locations and route maps on the official NFTA metro bus Game Day. EDIT: meant to add the link https://metro.nfta.com/schedules/game-day-express

14 years how can you NOT be more pessimistic? While I would like things to be different I simply cannot fathom why anyone still has belief or hope in this franchise. What you say is the Buffalo way. Hoping and expecting the same players to be better rather than making enough changes and additions for the team to actually be better.
-
My response to you would be why aren't you complaining? You don't seriously believe or have hope do you? Why isn't everyone complaining after 14 years? You should be.

I don’t disagree at all and I’m not gonna cry if Power is traded. I’m just saying we will regret it eventually.

For those who don't want to use X, can someone post the full quote? -
Where I do agree with you is that the owner has almost irreparably damaged this franchise and fanbase. He’s a fool owner who doesn’t have the self-awareness to recognize how inept he really is. I wish he would go on his big boat and sail away.
-
Therein lies the problem. Fans cling to the potential of a player vs cashing in while that player’s value is at it’s highest. I too think Power will be a great NHL player. I just don’t think Buffalo, as a team, their fans and the overall mental health of the city can wait another 5 years before the needle moves with this team. They need to fix it today. Attendance will be abysmal this season. Maybe then Terry will finally get the kick in the ass to make real changes to this team.

Not me, that's a definite nope.

Jason Robertson rumored to be on the trade block

I would trade anybody on this team not named Dahlin. Make this trade happen please and bring some excitement back to the city.
