  1. Past hour
  2. Do people do that?🤔
  3. The Sabres are not the fans, the fans are not the Sabres. This is too abstract for me. The fans are much better than what has become of the Buffalo Sabres hockey organization. The fans do not deserve this, they certainly don't contribute to the losing, and most of the fans do not like the way the team has been run since Pegula took over and made his big promises. The fans have now become quick to boo, but all they have left is nostalgia - Ryan Miller Day, Rob Ray Day, RJ Day. These special nights are the season highlights under Pegula and we are running out of hero's. I can agree that the fan base has eroded significantly, and that is because the Sabres Hockey Organization has been inept for a historical 15 years and counting. The look of the Sabres FO is that they do not even seem to be trying. I am with the bold. The lowest point keeps getting lower with each losing season. I stopped buying tickets to home games, that has never happened to me in any other season no matter the circumstances.
  4. Toronto and New York are at the top of the list for me. It has little to do with the players of course, mostly due to the fanbases. My perception has those 2 fanbases being slightly different, yet still annoying. Toronto Fans: When they win, it simply because, of course, they are the better team. A bad call against the other team? No big deal, Toronto was going to win anyway. When they lose, it is always some external factor, mostly the fans or the league out to get them because everyone is jealous of Toronto and the Leafs. In many Leaf fans eyes, the Leafs have yet to lose a game in the last 5 years that wasn't the fault of the refs or the league. New York fans: When the Rangers lose, the fans hate their own team, they turn on the team faster than almost any fanbase. But when the Rangers win, a large portion of the fanbases seems to think that they, the fans, are the reason why. New York fans seem take personal credit for the success of their teams more than anyone else. Both of the above behaviors, while other fanbases have them to a certain extent, are notable for Toronto and New York fans, and they are annoying.
  5. Great Question and it comes from a position of power, Zito yeah I think he would seems wired that way. Know it a pipe dream but have 15+ first rounders brought us?
  6. It’s sunny out, got out of bed earlier, put two feet on the ground and stood up. Appreciate the simple things in life…starting with your health. 😊
  7. In a mother ####### heartbeat.
  8. I think the thought is that if Tuch is extending, there has to be some hope and positivity to turn this thing around. Outisde of Terry stepping away or selling the team, Adams being pushed out is the next best thing by a country mile.
  9. If you are Zito, would you rather stay with the Panthers, or come work for Pegula?
  10. Yes!! He likes it here. Give him 10 mil per year. Food for thought…if you are Tuch where do you see this franchise that hasn’t made the playoffs in 14 years, 4-5 years from now? Cup contender?
  11. Its not my money, and there is no salary cap on executives, so absolutely 100% all day, i wouldn't even blink about it. Pay him 1 million per year more then his highest offer he recieves
  12. If his extension starts with an 8 per season I will be so damn happy. I still like the idea from Rivet and Petey to front load the contract to bring AAV down. And I still think we should defer money on this. Pegula can afford it and this is the last off season you can sign those contracts, deffer money on it so it come in at an AAV of 7 million per season and thats a homerun slam dunk contract
  13. Today
  14. ….but instead of great owners like the Knox brothers, he would be working for a buffoon.
  15. I knew you’d be picking up what I threw down
  16. Surgery on Monday is shutting down my golf season. Treating myself to a round on a nice course in the Muskoka area tomorrow.
  17. It really comes down to challenge, Zito at is height now as a GM is at the zenith, he deserves all accolades, but if a challenge he may seek, the Sabres are there. The flood of hockey guys he could access in this market closest to their upbringing would be an interesting scenario. He'd be no Ted Black or Larry Quinn, he'd be an Imlach. With keys...
  18. Contract won’t start until he’s 30 so it’ll almost certainly be paying more for a lesser version of Tuch, but it’s easily the lesser of two weevils when the alternative is losing him entirely. We aren’t going to spend to the cap anyways - spend what you need to lock up the good player. The Sabres can’t even operate under plausible deniability if Tuch walks, they’ll get this done I’m confident
  19. Until about 4:30 its just the 5th Monday of the week. #CrankyAF
  20. Again, this is nonsense. Tuch was a center piece to the Eichel deal having a 20g 52pt season under his belt and a 18g 32pt in 55 games before the trade to Buffalo. Adams said. “Alex is a very good hockey player, proven in this league, under contract for this year and the next four years at a young age and a very productive player. High character. Leader. All the things, the intangibles. Wants to be part of the solution. He was unbelievable in my conversation with him in how excited he is to be a Buffalo Sabre. Told me it was a dream come true for him.” https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/adams-sabres-hoping-last-new-dawn-eichel-trade-concluded/
  21. Would I overpay for Zito? Yes. Zito is going for a 3-peat, that makes him elite in today's world, plus he is relevant right now. No second thoughts on this question.
  22. I don’t think the teenage intern in charge of running their social media account is allowed to stay up that late
  23. -2 times in the past 3 years 30 goal scorer (36). -Big time Plus player on a minus team. -One of the single best forcheckers in the league (my opinion). -Led league in shorthanded goals last year. -Injury issues have mostly gone away as he played a full 82 games last year and 75+ his other 2 years. -Plays all phases of the game. -Loved by the majority of the fanbase. 29 years old so 'right now' in the prime of his career. -6'4, 220 AND an above average skater. -When I watch goals against, he is rarely the problem. He skates back hard into his zone. He rarely chases the puck and leave guys wide open. Basically, he's sound defensively (at least compared to the Quinns, Cozens, Peterkas of this forward group) Get it done. If its a 6+ year deal and looks bad at the end of it when he is in his mid 30's, I'll worry about it then.
  24. Why is he posting a far right nutbag? That’s a rhetorical question, right?
