  1. Past hour
  2. This is a big assumption based on no evidence. He's had games/stretches with errors and sloppy mistakes every year. It's who he is. great moments and then trying too hard or getting caught out of position, give aways. I don't really see anything different from previous years. In terms of the D, imo, Dahlin is fine. Same as always. Byram I still don't see the hype. Metsa is a marginal NHLer/AHLer. Timmons has been better than I expected, very stable and reliable. Samuelsson has been much better than expected. Maybe even playing up to his contract. Power still looks like a guy who is gifted at hockey but doesn't really care about being a hockey player. He's going to do it cause it pays well but he'd rather be a jazz singer (or whatever it is he does when not skating).
  3. What not rushing a defenceman into the NHL isn't the way to go? Who'd have thought.
  4. I'd imagine his offseason training program was probably messed up quite a bit, so not really surprising he isn't at the level we expect. As for needing a break, its Impossible for us to know but my guess would be playing the game he loves is probably the best for him right now as mentioned by Brawndo, he often starts slow and it's not like he's been bad Best news for us is that they are looking good without him at his best, plus Kesselring is going to be a huge improvement over Bryson / Metsa So maybe things get even better for us as Sabres fans?
  5. Gotta collect these points now. We’re catching a lot of these teams without their top players. They are going to get healthy and get their ***** together. The rematches are going to be much more difficult. Luckily, not tomorrow.😂 Screw you Leaves.
  6. I wonderlic what his problem is.
  7. I’d being up and play Rosen. He’s earned an opportunity. I also don’t want Geertsen in the lineup.
  8. FTR while Doohickie was focused on childish word play, I was calling the victory. I shall sleep soundly tonite.
  9. Fun game. Someone tell Lyon to NEVER PLAY THE PUCK. It’s a complete shitshow every time he does. I think it cost him a goal, as well a few games ago. Just stay in net.
  10. So just after the game ended, a thunderstorm blew through. We lost power for a few minutes, then it came back on. While it was out the wind was really blowing and swirling. Apparently there was a tornado (circled in blue) less then three miles from our house (pink dot). The direction the storm has been moving could have placed it right over our house as it was forming.
  11. Quiet, you doddering old fool. Anyone who wants my take on tomorrow's game can PM me for cash apps I use.
  12. Im cutting Dahlin some slack given his personal life... he is playing with a heavy heart... gotta be aching with his wife's health issues.
  13. Eleven

    Dahlin

He'll ask for that if he needs it. Some people need it, some would prefer to just get back into things.
  14. There were, and they’ve gotten even better they led the league with a .265 average in the regular season. They have a .305 average this postseason. Next closest is Dodgers at .252 to get BETTER as you face elite competition is insane
  15. Today
  16. I'm too lazy to google the specifics but this team had the most come from behind wins in franchise history. There were plenty of big moments in there.
  17. They showed some potential here. Still too many defensive lapses and errors, some sloppy, but overall they played even with the Leafs and better at times. The thing I liked the least was the 5 on 3 PP. They need to sit down and redesign it because this plan is dumb. It's all high shot to Tage or Dahlin. The net front guy is fine but the other two wingers are basically doing nothing so it's like an open ice 3 on 3. They need more cross ice and behind the net to make the triangle defending break down. It's a bad design. Really though, what's not to like? Beat the Leafs. Beat them again and we can all fool ourselves into thinking this is a good team.
  18. Jays nearly tripled the Brewers output from the entire NLCS in the first 6 innings of today’s game Barger equaled it with one swing
  19. True, they’ve had some big moments. I just don’t recall them having many in the regular season. Seemed like every time I watched them, they were constantly getting guys on base and putting balls in play. But man, that 6th inning was amazing.
  20. And to clarify I didn’t mean sit him because he’s not playing well enough I meant giving him a game if they feel mentally he just needs a break with everything going on in his personal life.
  21. They’ve been even better in the playoffs
  22. Dahlin with an inexcusable play to flip a puck over the glass trying to close a game out with 5 mins to go giving the Leafs a PP, but Tuch bails him out with a SHG. Either way, your captain can't make that play. And he is turning into an assist machine.
  23. If he's still playing beer league, there's a 50-50 chance @darksabre gets the callup before Georgiev. Georgiev will never see a regular season game in a Sabre uniform.
  24. Randomly flipping a puck over the glass with no pressure on him, without it even being close, is not something you can do when you are trying to close a game out with 5 minutes left to put the other team on the PP. Kind of inexcusable really. It all worked out thanks to Tuch with a shortie but that was not a great look from your captain.
  25. Mrtka is a young 18 who hasn’t played a lot of junior hockey. This is the best move. He got a couple weeks of pro coaching and now can go back and play 30 minutes a night with a lot of PP time. I think he will be a good one but there is no reason to rush him.
