  1. Past hour
  2. You’re right, my bad. I missed the tab of October 1st & 3rd v Pitt. I did get the season start date correct, so we are still fast approaching 10/9. I have a sneaking suspicion Levi will get first crack over Lyon because that’s what this organization does.
  3. The amount of time they spent doing CPR on her is staggering
  4. Petgrave should not be walking about. I had the misfortune to see the video and there is no rational explanation as to why his blade was up that high. Added to that he had previously had cynical non hockey “hits” in his resume. Guy is a scumbag.
  5. Today
  6. All hail the addle-brained moron in chief. Yeah, he deserves a Nobel Peace prize.
  7. Without Peterka, how does this trade work? Helenius? Kulich? You'd have to dump Samuelsson or similar salary. Tuchs extension would have to be factored into Robertsons. You're probably losing your 2026 1st but you'd have to top 10 protect it and already don't have a 2nd in the deepest draft in years. I just don't know what this looks like.
  8. Sure why not. As if Adams could get the deal done.
  9. Sure, get my hopes up. *****
  10. While MAGA rejoices at the thought of a state controlled media, they should study Putin’s tactics from 1999 when he first came into power in Russia. The first thing he did in an attempt to accomplish his goal was to go after Russian comedians and shut them up. But what am I saying? Of course MAGA have studied Putins tactics because they are in the process of adopting and implementing those tactics as I type this. Lets just call a spade a spade: free speech is only free speech when it says something favorable about Trump. That’s MAGA doctrine 101.
  11. Lots of reasons why she might not be able to lead a normal life. My BIL had double lung transplant this past Spring. Yes, he’s alot older than she is, but the anti rejection drugs, and the immune system suppressors will significantly reduce things she can do that you and I don’t even think about. Like, minor every day things that become no-nos because of the drugs. Obviously, I don’t know a damn thing about her situation. Grains of salt, and all that. But my eyes were definitely opened to all of the changes necessitated by major organ transplants. And the risk of rejection somewhere down the line is always there, even with the drugs.
  12. Would be great if they could bring him in. Was hoping he was what Adams was targeting when it became official that Peterka wanted out. Will believe the Sabres are in on it shortly after watching the press conference announcing it's happened and not 1 minute sooner.
  13. Yes, you trade Power for Robertson and call it a day
  14. Why won't she be able to lead a normal or nearly normal (wtf we're defining "normal" as) life after this? Presumably she received a healthy heart and she is still in her 20s which is when people are at their physical peaks (unless of course they're professional tennis players, in which case you seem to reach your peak later or female gymnasts who's peaks seem to hit in their late teens 😉 ). But it absolutely is a tremendously scary story. Am glad that she seems to be pulling through and am very glad they had people around that were able to keep her alive when she was at her frailest.
  15. Maybe he misspelled eye rolled?
  16. I just saw this and have no idea if its true at all, just throwing it out there
  17. Would much rather they be bringing in Tyson Kozaks when the rest of the squad isn't so green. They could realistically have 3 green/relatively green guys in the top 6 in Benson, Quinn, & Kulich. Doan is fairly green too. And the D, while not as green, is still quite green by NHL standards. With so much youth throughout the roster, would like the 4th line to have some experience for now. And do expect injuries will give Kozak another chance to show what he can do.
  18. Likely true. But the Bills SHOULD win it. Will they? We find out in just over 2 weeks.
  19. Interesting that they'e been running the NHLers vs the NHLers and AHLers vs AHLers and so on in camp. Pretty sure they did that last year, but they also were on a very condensed schedule. Traditionally, they've had their 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th lines / pairings in one session and then the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th in the other so they could either have NHL v NHLer or see how the guys fighting to move up do on occassion vs their own NHLers. Maybe read Heather's tweets (or whatever blusky posts are called) incorrectly, but that's how it seems they're doing things this time.
  20. Along the note of all of this, I just saw on TSN that an ECHL team just signed the guy who kicked Adam Johnson during a game a couple years ago. That was the one where his skate cut Johnson's neck and he died. It's only the ECHL, but I bet that team is going to face a ***** storm.
  21. The Pats*** will be another tough intra-divisional game imo.
  22. Yup. SHOULD be 6-0 at the bye. But they have to go out and actually play them, so we shall see, but liking the chances of it.
  23. Which 2 preseason games are getting cancelled? 😉 They have h&h's with Columbus, Detroit, & the Pens. The league isn't going to 84 games in the RS until next year. It's still 6 - 82 & 1st to 16 out of 28 this time around. NEXT year they reduce the PS.
  24. We will be getting some fresh D-line back in a few weeks from suspensions as well should help out. The Bill have another TNF game coming up in the second half of the season.
  25. I think the Sabres, like the Bills, are a collaborative environment. I believe that the roster is created by a coordinated effort among Adams, Ruff, and now Jarmo. Other individuals on the coaching and hockey-side management staffs also have input. I don't believe that Adams is a puppet for Ruff, but they certainly communicate and work together to assemble the roster. Given his level of experience, Ruff may have more input/influence than Granato did. In any case, I don't believe that Adams (and his staff) and Ruff (and his staff) are operating in a vacuum. Borrowing a concept from an old Bill Parcells (NFL coach) quote, Adams is doing the grocery shopping to purchase the ingredients and Ruff is cooking the meals, but Ruff works closely with Adams to determine what goes on the shopping list. I suspect that Ruff has a lot more influence on personnel than Adams does on practice and game management. In my opinion, that's how a professional sports team should operate, but it doesn't mean that Adams is good at shopping or that Ruff is good at making the meals.
