  1. Past hour
  2. Those were good deals. The problem with Adams is that your house is leaking and you have to fix 5 things to stop it and Adams will fix 2 of the things and say “Mission Accomplished”
  3. The story was the players wanted him gone and they convinced Jack to go in and drop the hammer to management because he was the one they would listen to.
  4. Fair enough. I don’t mind getting rid of guys but I want 23-30 year old guys coming back that can have immediate impacts. Misa and Schaefer will be very good players. I don’t think those deals you proposed get you them.
  5. Authorities in New York City report that lab-tested samples have very little or no cocaine. They say there are record numbers of overdoses and there is no way to know exactly what is in pink cocaine. Because the drug usually contains a mix of uppers and downers, it is sometimes called a speedball. Authorities are trying to educate potential users who may not know how different ketamine is from cocaine. Cocaine is a stimulant, and ketamine is a sedative-hallucinogenic anesthetic. It does not mix well with alcohol. Similar to ecstasy, tusi can cause an intense feeling of happiness and an increase in energy, making it popular at electronic music parties. In addition, it can induce sudden changes in mood, from euphoria to anxiety and paranoia. In addition to anxiety and paranoia, use of this drug can cause psychotic episodes and flashbacks, in which the user relives the drug's effects long after use. This could explain Diggs drop in production and his sideline antics.
  6. Adams has backed himself into a corner. By not making needed moves in years prior, he has put himself in a spot where he has to make moves to save his job. And the league knows it.
  7. There is something oddly true in what I think is a mistyped word.
  8. It cannot be prospects only. There is no room on the roster for roster players coming in if roster players aren’t also going out. I am sure KA is trying to move the Beck Malenstyn’s of the roster thinking adding Isac Rosen will make it irresistible to a team like Dallas for Robertson (yeah they might fall for it LOL). But is probably going to be more like Peterka + Kulich or that big russian defenseman, whatshisface + Byram to make good things happen.
  9. Is the ice they skate on wet? 🤷‍♀️
  10. One of the philosophies of Kevyn Adams has been: don’t panic and make a desperation move. And here he is with one year left on his contract, and 5 straight years out of the playoffs overlayed on a league record 14 years of failure, and the Sabres can’t make change without trading roster players because they are up against the cap, and the league knows that he is under pressure to make bold moves. By repeatedly failing to make needed moves, Adams has backed himself into a corner.
  11. Stop trying to blame fans for Adams incompetence.
  12. #1 reason Kevyn keeps ppl around, likability. Because Kevyn isn't cut out for this job.
  13. No but they opposite can be true. The whole "Adams overvalues his players" thing. Imagine you're a GM of a team targeting a top Sabres player/prospect. You essentially offer a bag of pucks hoping to swindle Adams who you see as inexperienced. But he doesn't bite. What do you do next? You run to the Dregers, Friedmans or Seravellis with the hot tip that Adams overvalues his players because you know the fanbase will go bonkers, and maybe put pressure on the Sabres. You'll notice we don't hear that trope anymore. As to your point, I don't think the Sabres talk to any press. Note how no one knew about the Kekalainen hire before it happened. Not Dregers. Not Paul Hamilton.
  14. Today
  15. The GM did make a number of helpful deals last offseason. Some of them very good, such as getting McCleod and Zucker. However, he didn’t do enough. Now, there is even more pressure to act. The billboard is flashing. Not too difficult to get the message.
  16. EXTRA EXTRA! Read all about it! Team with 14yr playoff drought wants immediate help! In other news, water is wet say scientists.
  17. I highly doubt the Sabres are doing that since they are the "Desperate" team in the NHL and everyone knows it. This wouldn't move the market at all for a team like this.
  18. Ah yes I remember this. It was the same time frame we found out they changed the code to open the bathroom doors and "reportedly" refused to give it to Lindy.
  19. You sound like you need to be in therapy.
  20. I’m fine with that but I’d prefer player for player trades
  21. TP and KA wanted Ruff to fire the assistants but he refused and turned down the job. KA said ok, we'll keep them, so Ruff reconsidered and took the job. Ruff, after the season was over, then wanted to fire the assistants. TP said no but KA wanted to. Jarmo wants to keep one of them but won't say which one. Jarmo told Staal which one but he pinky sweared not to tell anyone. Now TP is giving Staal the silent treatment. 6 top level assistants outside of the organization called Ruff and want to come here. Guelli set up a teams call at a time Ruff could only call in. He had his microphone rigged through IT, so the assistants thought he was ignoring them and all took other jobs.
  22. Yeah, that's true... It's not all on the insiders, but I do find they'll say what they need to say to provide a steady stream of content.
  23. Was that ever proven or just talk? Stylistically Bylsma didn't open it up in the preferred way. That urge for wide open offense might have come from Eichel as well as Pegula.
  24. Well, see I hate Pacioretty so I'm like whatever, he'd have done the same hit if he could. Chara, Stevens, Pronger, guys like that were always hated by other teams and that's the nature of who they were and what they were paid to do. Playfair and Korab were similar.
  25. Keep in mind where most hockey journalists get their "scoops." From GMs and agents looking to manipulate the market.
  26. Wasn't there an Eichel angle to Bylsma's firing? He wanted him gone?
  27. I know but you also say you don't want to run it back, so there's that. Changes are needed. I don't want to keep getting younger either but I also don't want to hate doing that so much that I stupidly do it. Meaning if you have a conviction for a prospect like Misa, trade a piece to get it. I have a feeling Misa is going to be special. It's a strange phenomenon. Most fans are so pissed they hate mostly everything about the team, then we talk about trading players and we don't want to let go of anyone.
