The Araiza situation is a weird one to cite. That thing wound up as a real shlamozzle — with Araiza being released from the civil lawsuit after he sued the accuser for defamation. Here’s hoping the Bills did their due diligence with the wrestler.

There’s some truth to this. Skinner has outplayed the Big O from Big D, which I didn’t think was possible. This is perhaps the biggest reason this series is where it is.

Also possible Dallas is more worn down by playing tougher opponents. Lot of old guys on that Dallas team and going through Vegas and Colorado was a lot harder than LA and Vancouver. We will see if they have anything left on Sunday.

I'm surprised, but I think you need more physicality to throw Edmonton off their game and the Stars aren't delivering that. Edmonton might be in the final now (maybe) but I still think the cup goes to the East, likely Florida.

See you're trying to win the trade, and I agree with @dudacek I think it would get us in the playoffs and imo finally breaking that 13 year non playoff run would be worth it, even if all 3 left the year after (although obviously you'd try to keep some of them). Gives all those Rochester kids one more year to mature as well. A real coach, finally in the playoffs, regardless of what happens after, the entire conversation changes and maybe then the NTCs for Buffalo start to stop and more players will also consider coming. We simply HAVE to break the loser label before we lose another round of young talent and rebuild yet again in a perpetual spiral.

Weird Friday. The long weekend was messed up by losing the AC Sunday night and getting it repaired Monday morning. Then the short week, which was shortened even more when a thunderstorm killed my power and I couldn't work from home on Thursday. Then today; Friday is a normal day off since I work 4x10, but for some reason it feels like Saturday. Now I have another Saturday coming up. If a holiday weekend messes me up that bad, I can only imagine what retirement is gonna be like.

I love Florida. They're big, fast, talented, mean, and when they hit it hurts. Basically, everything the Sabres aren’t now.

The Sabres are dying for a guy like Drury. And I've heard it opined by credible sources that when the captain/best player is also a demanding AH, it can be extremely effective in getting the most out of his team. Maybe Dahlin can become that guy, although I think they need it from Tage, Tuch and/or Cozens. He was a fantastic playoff player, albeit a very hateable opponent. Briere was also fantastic in the playoffs.
