I doubt that KA will trade Power. And it would be the right decision. The next issue is what can he get in return for Byram? If you can get a solid return to improve the team and better balance the unit, then do it. The player that I have my eye on is K'Andre Miller from the Rangers.

The likely answer is that KA is a figurehead who accommodates Pegula's prejudices. In my view, a team associated with a community is a kind of trust. A bad owner may treat it as a private property, like a personal vehicle. It's nobody's business what he does with his yacht. However, it is actually unjust to continue modes of action that consistently have bad results when the recipient of that action involves an entity greater than the private. At minimum, he has alienated a generation of fans, provoked indifference in many younger folk, and provided very little return to those who invested in season tickets. Anyway, I suppose you think everything is reasonably answered by Pegula's right to do what he wants with his toys.

With Adams and Ruff in the last year of their contracts, I'm sure KA is going to try and trade it for an established NHL hockey player, if at all possible. These type of trades don't happen often but Savoie for McLeod has certainly worked out well for us so far (Not the same type of trade of course, but similar). Look to teams without a 1st, tight to the cap and/or rebuilding for such a trade. Don't know personally who that could be?

If I was GM I would be seeing what the market is for Byram and Power. I can move on from either. The return plus potential cap space could sway me in either direction. Power could bring more back and Byram could be signed for less. KA will not move Power, so this idea is dead.
