  1. Past hour
  2. Well today on twitter I'm reading that Adams is actually signed for another year which is like a wtf? But there it is. He may never leave.
  3. Oh I think it's definitely a tear down rebuild/tank now. They knew Hughes would walk in a year and a half and I think they knew if they waited until next year they would get less as other teams would know they were up against it and would try to lowball them. Reinhart type returns at best. I would guess they were being offered 3 big pieces and then Minnesota jumped in with 4 and that was tche4 best they could get. Young guys to fill out the roster while they tank and rebuild and maybe given ice time those guys still develop. Ohgren played with Rosen or Östlund didn't he? Same level. A lot of people are high on Buium. Skilled but he has defensive issues. I think at best he's a Byram type. It's not a great return but really, I can't see how they could get more on a player who would have walked 100%.
  4. Doin' the Lord's work 🙌 It's much appreciated
  5. To me Hamilton was noting a change in how they've been running things during this trip and hinting that maybe Appert will be taking over soon. My guess is Ruff moving to POHO or senior advisor and Adams out, with Appert taking over as coach and given the rest of this season to audition for the role.
  6. They’ll make up a title / position like they do in most large corporations and say he is “uniquely qualified” for said position. Behind the scenes there’s usually a deadline to find a landing spot outside the company. Let’s be realistic, TP would love to find someone who could turn this around and I’m sure he knows as well as the rest of us KA isn’t that guy. The hole is too deep.
  7. Very true. However, there is a chance it could take place before the deadline. For example, the Montreal Canadiens are even more desperate for a goalie right now than we are, and they are more likely to make the playoffs than the Sabres. Maybe they would be willing to take a chance on UPL and give up a lot to get him, and if so, maybe a smart new Sabres GM could make that trade work for us? We would still have Lyon and hopefully Ellis will return healthy soon.
  8. Due to some finnish sources Sabres was also in the Quinn Hughes race, can't be right, right??
  9. I would. The fact that they are familiar with the legacy and are respected by the fans is gravy.
  10. I still have little hope of any substantive change coming. Even “if” Adams is promoted to POHO, it doesn’t help much because he will still have too much influence on hockey roster decisions, which means more of the same crap. Jarmo as a GM will be powerless because he will still have limited ability to make coaching and player decisions. If Appert ends up the next HC in this scenario, then you know Jarmo has no autonomy to make his own decisions. Pegula has broken me and my belief that this team will ever a contender.
  11. Reasonable estimation. It would be difficult to account for every variable.
  12. Whatever the outcome of the test, just let her know she’s the best girl in the world each and every day.
  13. It's been like that a lot this season. I think for a lot of games it's been Lindy as "executive" coach and Appert as "operations" coach.
  14. I wonder if any place is open?
  15. Today
  16. But if Tuch is good to go, the Sabres are probably better off shipping Kuntar back. I think he may have an NHL future, but nothing more than a bottom 6 guy.
  17. Right. And people who don't do a lot of driving still have to change there oil per the calendar cycle. Otherwise, why specify it?
  18. Probably has nothing to do with it but Ruff was upset Östlund was sent down. Maybe this is a sign Adams is done and Ruff has the power.
  19. Kevyn’s doing everything he can until the end.
  20. He's cheap, he's too involved, he's not involved enough....
