Should be a good revenge game if Detroit sends their expected B squad. Yay! Radio-only. But, aside, it's OK it's radio-only for me because today's the big day! I have a little pet project to make a comic book/graphic novel out of a Lego car race at a Lego version of Road America. Today is knee-killing principal photography day. How is this relevant for 'Space? The Buffalo Sabres Black sweater car won the pole position in qualifying. You can imagine how that will turn out.

Keyword there being failed. But in reality, did the GM really go after any big-dollar free agents, or did the GM say that they went after them. Because those are two very different things. The more important point is that the team needed a veteran #1 goalie, a position easily filled throughout the past 6 seasons for just $5M. And they also needed an in-their-prime defensive top-4 defenseman who would push Samuelsson down the lineup and push Bryson out entirely. Even better if he were right-handed to pair with Power, but he could've been a lefty 5 seasons ago. That player type runs $4-5.5M as well. And they needed someone to replace Quinn while he was out and then while he was returned-but-still-recovering from serious injury. Adams didn't do anything of things and had plenty of cash to do so.

Helenius again. Thats an interesting trend. His 4th game. Might be 4 for Kozak too. 3rd for Dunne, Rosen, Mrtka and Geertsen. -
Injury update, Sept 26, 2025: Samuelsson minor injury

This is yet another fine outcome for Adams. This was the off-season to get out from under that contract; but as usual, Adams is slow to act and too dense to decide. Now we're stuck with a sub par-injury prone player that has essentially turned his back on the team and tucked his tail when we needed him last season. Bravo, truly Turd -

Shraderโs thought is what I was thinking too. Then again, Iโll have to stop saying he was faking it if he missed so many games to actual injury after he left Buffalo. -
This true if they know Barkov is not coming back for the playoffs If he is they may not have any free space or very little. I don't think they are going to do anything right away. It will take half the season to make a move when the picture becomes more clear.

Can we just assume he is hurt and have folks let us know when he is back... cause he is pretty invisible in the ice despite being a large dude -
With Tkachuk back they still have over 5milj in cap space. But their prospect pool is weak and they don't have a first rounder until 2028. That's what I find interesting. What can Zito do with nothing when Adams can do little with all assets he's got.

I get a kick out of this thread. No matter what other options might have been, there would be people to complain about them. The swords song (at least the short clip that would be used for a goal song) is fine. I think it would be great to hear the arena singing along to that.

I assume it's streaming but feel free to update if not -
With Barkov and Tkachuk on LTIR he has cap space to go after some big fish. I donโt think Tkachuk is all year though.
-
Iโm not accusing them of anything. Heโll be back though, these things always find a way of working out.

It reminds me of a few years ago where 4 or 5 weeks into the season the Bills had more wins in the Meadowlands than those two teams combined. They played back to back weeks there to open the season. Oh wait, they have more wins in that stadium this year so far too.

I don't think Benson cares much where he plays. He trains in Vancouver on the offseason.

I'm not saying Tuch is the best player on the roster. I'm saying he's the linchpin to keeping any of the good we have in Buffalo. Per some of the podcasts over the off-season it seems like Tage is already close to asking out. I think losing Tuch would put him over that hump in fairly short order. Have there been any rumors about Benson?
