  1. Past hour
  2. It’s not like it will matter if Adams gets fired either way. Terry is just going to hire a budget GM.
  3. And then he’ll run the Sabres goalie and everyone will just watch.
  4. Eh, with Bounceyball, the question isn't points equalling fun, it's WHAT points equal fun. Is it the ones going up when a team puts the bouncey ball through the big metal ring multiple times a game or the ones the players/refs decided to make sure they shave off the line to assist their friendly neighborhood gambling syndicate make large amounts of money? 😉
  5. No front office changes will be made until the season is over. By then the Bills will be done and Terry can unveil his next new plan. If the team completely quits on their coach then Ruff could go, and Appert can get his look. Adams fate will be decided after the season.
  6. Why not? Simple… Terry doesn’t give 💩💩 about the Sabres. He hasn’t cared since he bought the Bills.
  7. All of the above bolded is true in my opinion. There is no amount of 'finesse' that can fix this. No one or 2 moves. No returning injured players. None of that is going to turn this team into a team that is dangerous in any way in the playoffs. I have been patient with this management group and Adams. I have thought their defense is young and d-men take longer to develop than forwards so it may take a few years. I have thought they young guys (Dahlin, Thompson, Tuch) are now just 'in their prime' and they are ready to carry the team. I thought that UPL had it in him to be the goaltender he was 2 years ago and last year was just a bad year. I thought that the young guys in Rochester would progress slightly faster than they have. All of those things COULD have been true, but they don't look like they are. I had patience through 3-4 years of this front office, I was losing patience last year..but in year 6, its just too long. Changes should have been made 1-2 years ago and they weren't. I was OK with waiting a bit longer but if even "I" have waited this long and nothing has changed, well, something does need to be done now. Its long enough (even for me, one of the more patient people on this forum) Clean out the entire front office NOW, so anyone new coming in can have their (hopefully) accelerated evaluation period and then they can start making roster change. If you wait until the offseason to make changes, then the new Front office will have the excuse they need 1 more year to 'evaluate' the team, then changes might not be made quickly, and we are just putting up with the same thing for longer.
  8. And he's got an NHL contract for next season, too.
  9. Exactly. Plus, in between they saved their season in the 3rd period vs. Detroit and then had a dominant win against big bad McDavid & Draisaitl. They're safe from change until at least an eight-game losing streak.
  10. No one gives executive advisors free rein. One aspect of the job is to provide alternatives based on your past experience, current research, and know how. No has to listen or follow the advice either, your advice could simply serve to make the full time execs feel better that other views an alternatives were considered. If Dudley had free rein to hire and fire he would actually be the POHO or GM and he would be accountable for the results of his decisions. That said, Dudley would have been a good guy for the Sabre to have. Zito in Florida hired him for advice, and rewarded him by putting his name on the cup, so he must be pleased with him, but Dudley does not to run the show. Duds is not easy and he is not a pushover. He is considered an “old school” hockey guy. Terry might not want that.
  11. Nooooooooooooooo! Seriously though, congratulations to this guy. He almost doubled his salary for the month or so he was sitting in the press box.
  12. The Sabres lost this exact game a week ago and nothing changed. Why would last night be the impetus?
  13. Football figured it out. Points equal fun. Baseball figured it out. Runs equal fun. Hockey needs to get on the bandwagon when it comes to these silly overturned goals. *Basketball thought it figured it out with points equaling fun but this may or may not be the case.
  14. I honestly have no idea why you wrote this in response to my post unless you're just trying to read your own posts as a get off. Enough for what? I made no excuses and didn't insinuate any.
  15. It made sense in preseason when it was obvious that Dunne was 3x the player Geertsen was. Though the Amerks would much rather have Dunne in their top 6 than Geertsen as a 4W with less upside than Jagger Joshua.
  16. This isn’t goalie interference either. It was just against the rules at the time.
  17. So, of course not!!! It seems to be a popular sentiment that either 1. Terry doesn't care and is all wrapped up with the Bills and their success OR 2. He is too involved with the Sabres front office and basically pulling a Jerry Jones controlling everything because of his massive ego! BUT, could it be .......................... That nothing is presently happening because IF management does something dramatic it will confirm "the plan' has failed and this franchise is now in total disarray and people in charge don't know what they're doing. Hence signaling to the NHL there needs to be intervention. Could debilitating fear be paralyzing progress? I just can't get the memory of Terry tearing up years ago at his introduction press conference with some of those past Sabre HOFamers sitting in the front row. And now not caring about this franchise, it doesn't make sense. Thoughts? Answers?
  18. I’m being told Lindy is sulking in his office.
  19. The owner can spend as much or as little as he wants. The owner can hire whoever he wants. He can have a hands off or hands on approach to ownership. He can care or not. Those issues are all his prerogatives. In business, profitability is the measure of success or failure. In the sports endeavor, it is easy to measure success or failure. Your record is the basis for making a judgment. It shouldn't be a surprise that when you hire incompetents and then don't hold them accountable, the end result is predictable. When you continue to fail and then continue doing what you are doing, you don't have to be a clairvoyant to guess what the outcome will be. Isn't a generation of this foolishness originating from the owner's box enough? Excuses no longer resonate with me.
  20. A move that makes sense is a nice chance of pace for this organization
  21. I’m out of words and emotions regarding this team. They need a heart transplant. Not sure who or where their heart is but it’s faulty. Identify it and remove it. Frankly, I’m not sure how many of the current players I’d keep moving forward. Doan and Benson, maybe Östlund. After that I’m not sure any of these guys give a *****.
  22. Today
  23. Some of us agree 100%. He is more interested in having poeple around him that make him comfortable. That won't offend him. That will take the arrows from the press and fans when things go badly. With the Sabres, its almost as if he wants to be coddled. Winning? Sure that would be great, but it has to be done his way.
  24. Adam’s needs to be held accountable for this!
  25. I imagine Guelli has this information. Would love to know his opinion. Or maybe he ignores it and focuses on the Bills.
  26. Hope they do. He’s an ECHL level player.
