Do we actually know what his injury was?
-
I am convinced that the team doesn't play the same in front of UPL. I think he has let them down too many times. The team is just starting to play the right way. I don't want to see them slip back into how they played last year. Which is what happens when UPL let's in a soft goal. I was surprised they even made it to OT. I really don't want UPL playing any games. Play Lyon, Ellis and Lev. It's all on ka that we are in this "hope our goalies keep us in it" crap. I am so tired of ka's too little too late mentality.
-
Surprised, why not let him practice with Power then.
-
Monday blues? The Bills won. The sun is out. The sesame seed in my partial just let loose. Life is good. I don't need Kesselring.
-
In hindsight, most here agree that the Sabres overreacted to UPL's great half-season in 2024 when they gave him the big contract and made him the unquestioned starter. Would it also be an overreaction to dump UPL after Lyon has played well for 3 weeks? And Ellis played well in ONE start? UPL was bad last year, and I just had a feeling that he would not be able to step up and hold the lead in the last Toronto game. Sadly, he proved me right. The Toronto tying goal could have/should have been stopped and, while it's true that stopping a Hall of Fame forward on a breakaway in OT is a lot to ask, sometimes your goalie has to make a big play for the team to win the game, and UPL did not have it in him. So what I'm saying is that I'm not super high on UPL right now, but getting rid of him at this point because Lyon has played well for 3 weeks and Ellis for 1 game would be an overreaction. They need to roll with 3, as bad as that might be, and see how things shake out. UPL is STILL only 25, and many goalies don't hit their prime until closer to 30 (and some after 30).

I do think that the social media team gets clearance from hockey ops before posting stuff like the thing they put up today. -
Ruff confirmed Kesselring should take his debut tomorrow. Also

Lindy Ruff says Kesselring should be good to go for tomorrow night -
The team's social media team seems to think Kesselring is close.

We need speed on the outside, speed in the slot, speed up the middle. We need speed. With the way Josh has been throwing lately we need speed to get to the ball.
-
Dunne is just not an NHL player. My foot speed is comparable and I can’t skate. We need Greenway back ASAP. I know Lindy likes the heavies but at what cost? Geertsen is close to playing his way out of the league (again) and Dunne isn’t far behind.
-
Boy thats not looking like Kesserling or Greenway will be ready for tomorrow, thats really concerning to be honest. Especially Greenway casue he has been skating for like a few weeks now and is still not ready At least for those two it will be really easy, Metsa down for Kesserling and Dunne down for Greenway The real issue and likely will have to be the 3 headed goalie solved is when someone else comes. If Danforth, Kozak or Norris come back, one of the goalies has to go down, I guess maybe Östlund can go down first, but a goalie has to go when we get healthy. Which I guess still wont be for best case, a month

Dahlin and Sammy is new right?

Almost there.... -
because you'd lose the chance for proverbial mismatches. and because the route tree for a wideout is not something kincaid is prepared to deliver. and because kincaid is likely not creating separation from outside corners.

The 5 headed Goalie Monster - What is the solution?

Ok so he is not protected from another claim if he goes back before the 30 day window. I was just thinking about possible scenarios. -
I'd guess Kesselring isn't going tomorrow

Kesselring is paired with Bryson this AM in practice, while the other pairings remain the same from the Leafs Game. -

As I recall Lindy did not play UPL much at all last year and think he has no faith in him...guess Adams wants to try and justify him giving UPL that crazy contract -

Yes, that’s when St Louis would be able to send him down… assuming no one else out a claim in on him. Those teams would get a shot at adding him to the NHL roster first. The Sabres won’t do it before then though, especially since we are so close. The line is actually 30 days or 10 games played. I have no idea how those games played are counted for goalies since he’s in a jersey each night (maybe not this past game?). -
At this point, Lyon is your starter. Alternate Ellis and UPL as the backup. Let UPL work his way back in, give him a start here and there over the next few weeks, or until Lyon falters. Keep all 3 on the roster for now.

Since this community spans many states and nations no real need to identify where to place a bet because it will be different based on location. As far as betting lines go I just look at the ESPN schedule when I care to see what they are.
