  1. Past hour
  2. Heard it the other day for the first time. Agree. It's very good. Wasn't denigrating him ... just a recently popular act. OK @That Aud Smell, what does that mean? New one for me.
  3. They are 18... I am not sold on anyone this draft... I dont think anyone is cant miss... I know you cannot teach what Martone has... I want more of that... Maybe Martin and Bear have this as well and will be better players more physical... honestly.... never saw them... if they are bigger and more physical than Martone.. ok... get them.... To me the bottom line is I would like us to focus on players that can bring skill and physicality to the game... and not just willing physicality but, mark off on your calendar when you are playing this person physicality.. we currently have none... To me its Martone... and not that it means anything... but the seems like the majority of mocks agree... but again... 18... Not sure why trading up in all rounds of is limited to the NFL... happens all the time... just looked randomly draft tracker and lots of draft pick only switching was done including actually the Sharks moved 3 spots to get our 11 last year and we got their 14 and 42. Is it likely to happen... not really... in fact I am pretty much resigned to anything I think makes sense Adams gonna do the opposite... We will likely end up with a 5 10 170 skill player that we just had to get cause we dont have enough of those...
  4. Oh ya, that could derail everything. I'd guess UPL was overwhelmed with a full season as starter. Hopefully him and Levi splitting duties increases competition while relieving some strain and we get decent goaltending while the group, which is maturing, limits shot attempts. Florida and Carolina just play such super team defense. Can our Sabres move more in that direction? I'd like to think they did late in season. And with another year of experience as a group hopefully that continues. I think everyone can agree they looked young, scattered brained and panicked early last season while blowing all those leads, but later they started to handle that much better.
  5. No palm trees Oopsies
  6. I'm sure his agent already has a potential contract written up that specifically states Buffalo is a team he will not be traded to. I'd love it, but doubt he comes here.
  7. Am I right in thinking we don’t have our 2026 2nd rounder making talks of offer sheet pretty pointless.
  8. This group and what goalie?
  9. As my kids would say (although they're increasingly far from "kids"): "Go touch grass."
  10. To a cup? If we are lucky. Maybe next season a trip to the playoffs where this group has zero experience in, so I'd be surprised if they won a series against a team with playoff experience. The season after that maybe a nice playoff run. After that who knows. So I'd say this group is at least four years away from a legit shot at the Cup. I do not see how that timeline gets accelerated much. But I am wrong a lot, so ...
  11. Former poster Yuri is working on it.
  12. Ekblad is UFA as is Bennett. We need players like this.
  13. So five more years then?
  14. They are a young team. Young teams don't win in NHL. The average team winning the cup is like five years older than the current Sabres team. Why are there so many Sabres throw aways in the league doing pretty well? Because they were discarded when young. Heck, many people want to throw away Power and Benson just like many people were yelping to get rid of no good Dahlin a few years ago. Or how getting rid of Samson and Jack would change the mind set of the team or whatever. Just buckle up, sit back and let this core get more experience and add and subtract on a moderate basis and hope this group matures into a good team. For the love of God though, do not blow up the team again
  15. Yeah. Bring in Ekblad and McKinnon and Oettinger. That will help a lot.
  16. Sabres make the playoffs in the 2010-11 season. August 2011, Adams joins the coaching staff. No playoffs since. He is a master of the negative Concept of the Cup. It’s been the rise of Emperor Sheevyn at the expense of the franchise. He doesn’t have to own it. It’s all he’s ever known.
  17. OK @JohnC, you have to admit that (Adams + Lou) > (Adams + nothing). You cannot just discount Lou's record because he is 82, even his last stop at Long Island was far more successful than that of Kevyn Adams. I am not sold on Lou necessarily, but I think they need more and better leadership experience in the FO. And no way is Terry Pegula a crook like Dan Snyder. A bad hockey owner, yes, but not a Dan Snyder type.
  18. Today
  19. He just pulls numbers out of his a$$ and his delusional followers just lap it all up.
  20. An absolute wagon.
  21. The wedding is just an event. There’s a ton happening for the character. She’s selling her daughter to finance her project, she’s deciding a price to keep her childhood friend and partner silent about the project, and the one person she can’t be seen with publicly is right there front and center with a lavish gift.
  22. Good for them. They got to attend a playoff game.
  23. I was looking at it from the Panthers side and was wowed by their lack of let up late in the 3rd with a huge lead. Very impressive. What a culture.
  24. I don't think I have ever seen a team playing at home, with the series even at 2-2, and the game still close, just quit like the Toronto Maple Leaves did last night. The players quit, the fans quit, the organ player quit, the people generating noise/music quit, I'll bet the beer sales guys quit too. As soon as they fell two goals behind they quit playing and the fans stopped cheering and that was that.
  25. Might be a blessing the Amerks let in 5 goals in front of the brain trust.
