Looked like his left arm...wrist, elbow, shoulder? who knows. Hopefully nothing too bad but I'm expecting to hear the dreaded "week to week" prognosis. If he's back in the lineup anytime before mid-November I'd consider that a win.

That list is always long in the NFL, people only think it's more because certain types of injuries have increased but others have decreased. Overall that hasn't been much change.

Made a number of good saves the first goal he might have been better. Tampa's Geekie is a good shooter. The second he did not have help around the net. Late in the game Amerks had 2 men in the box but Syracuse could not score. All in all a good nights work.

For whatever reason, injuries appear to be up not just league wide, but professional sports wide. Take a gander at the NFL’s injured reserve list. Its why depth might be the single biggest attribute amongst the league’s elite.

I thought Thompson looked lethargic at times.

It's only 18 games I believe but it runs Dec-May since games are once a week most times. -
Are these players made of glass on this team? Literally have one dude seriously injuring himself on a faceoff where nobody touches him and now Zucker hurts himself on probably the most innocuous check you'll ever see. Can the Sabre players get an NHL approval to wear bubblewrap?

21 saves on 23 shots for the victory and second star honors. The Crunch were 4-0 to start the year. -
Watching my favorite business podcast this morning discussing this. Draftkings and Fanduel are not allowed to operate in some states including Texas and California. They fear that the polymarket groups are going to get a back door into those markets. Also interesting to note Donald trump Jr. is a paid advisor to both platforms and directs investments to polymarket. Not to say Draftkings and Fanduel did not do a lot of political wheeling and dealing to get where they are. I only bet on horseracing so in general this is of no concern to me except the more money that is involved the bigger chance of game fixing. If you don't think that could be a problem I suggest reading the Big Fix by Brett Forest. It's about soccer match fixing. NHL would be a border line fixing target but some salaries are low enough that there could be an opening. The more that is wagered on the NHL the more vulnerable it becomes.

Zucker is one of the few that doesn’t get rattled. He still has the ability to score and will be needed if this team is going to progress.

No word yet on severity of injury but this is not good news. He is a solid vet who scores. God speed to an early return

You know one of the 1st things I look for in a scouting report? Motor. If it's not mentioned, fine. If it's mentioned negatively, bad bad. Positively, tell me more. Motor sometimes comes across as "relentless" or "high work rate" but Buffalo needs more. Also Nikita Klepov. We need to draft him.

Did UPL play last night? How'd he look? -

True. Season runs Dec-May including playoffs. But it's not only the heat, it's the barren nature. After growing up with trees, greenery and water, rocks, rocks and more rocks gets old fast. -
Lyon is playing very good hockey so far, people are ignoring that while he is steady, he did not carry Detroit to the playoffs. Ellis had one good game. Some fans here are yearning for a hero. UPL has never looked like the answer except for one stint, but the Sabres will need to get him ready and showcase him. Either he wins games or he gets moved. The goalie situation will take some time to play out.

I have only watched last three games. Quinn has not been good in two of those. He was better last night. Skated much better, and no bad giveaways i noticed. Hopefully, upward trend for him. I was really impressed with Thompson and his work ethic. He is working hard every shift. Playing 200 feet. Being physical in a smart way. Someone talked to him about what he needs to do to make the Olympic team. This is exactly how he needs to play. Exciting to see. The goals will come.

Matt Ellis,… the Matt Ellis of brothers.

This kind of garbage is what I've been railing over and distracts fans from the real problem. Don't just look at the end result (a goal) look at the comedy of errors that led to it.

How long is the season? He can be out of there right before the summer heat really kicks in.
