“Where Would You Rather Be Than Right Here, Right Now”……. GO BILLS!!!

It drives me crazy that a goal can be disallowed because Greenway was offside by an inconsequential 1/2 inch, and then the linesman can miss an icing by 3 feet that directly leads to a goal, and that’s not a concern. For clarity, I would prefer that neither can be challenged, but if the missed offside can overturn a goal then it is crazy that the missed icing cannot.

I have often told the young if you aren’t looking at the trades, especially electrical, you have 0 room to bitch about money. I’m an E&I tech, Electrical and Instrumentation. The field is short staffed by up to 45%, and with my now 30 yrs or so in with experience on both installation and maintenance I can pretty much write my own ticket. Was it a long road of 6 or 7 days, 12 to 14 hrs a day most years? Yes it was, but the dividends its paid in the last 10 yrs is worth every drop of blood, sweat and toil put in. The ones young that get in now are the ones that will be thankful by 40-45 yrs old. edit: I should point out industrial electrician. I don’t do residential or commercial. Power plants, major industrial facilities, that’s where both the education and the money is. I paid my own way through the apprentice progam, today may be different, but $49k for my initial 5 yr apprenticeship.

Yes, Byram "drove" Draisatl into Lyon's leg. Sure. Byram nudged him towards Lyon and then Draisatl chose to use that as an excuse to move Lyon's leg about 2'. Funny how guys that are pretty good skaters lose all control when it's convenient. Yes, skaters on all 32 teams do that. It is what it is. And the Sabres shouldn't have put themselves in the position where Draisatl could do that. But 100% that exact play is a judgement call that doesn't always go as it ended up getting called. Krebs shouldn't have iced it; whomever was supposed to be paying attention to McDavid shouldn't have lost him. They'd had chances to seal the victory with an extra goal on the 5v3; they didn't get that done. But 100%, that goal might've gotten called back had the reviewers in TO been in a different mood.

I’ve played cribbage since I was 8/9 yrs old. I realize 8 or 9 is a ripe old age, but at 55 I guess I’m a fossil now 😊 by the way, 15 for 2, 15 for 4 and a double run for 8 = 12 points for the hand. Watch’ya got? 😂

Quinn was held, hog tied, and tossed to the ice in the final minute, blatant interference or holding, no call. The Edmonton announcer thought it was funny. They must to used to getting the benefit of the doubt. Prior to that, Dahlin gets two minutes for tripping when he checked the guy with the puck behind his own net.

That was awesome. Thanks for sharing @Demoted. The thought that went into the design and attention to detail required for a project of that magnitude is incredible. Can't wait for the home opener in '26. It will be electric. Wish I could be there. The 'Big Colander' is nearing completion.

Did no one see a Sabre pushing the Oiler into Lyon? Come on now. The officiating has sucked, does suck and always will suck bc it's still a garage league and bc hockey is a tough sport to officiate. But, please, no one has it out for the Sabres. Every fan base in the league feels the same way. The Sabres can lose on their own. Don't give them the excuse.

Yes, Lyon did leave the crease on his own (at least his 1 leg was out of the crease, though the rest of him was in the crease). BUT players are NOT allowed to initiate contact with goalies regardless of where they are are the ice. Soooooo ... that one pretty much stays a "judgement" call for the league and they judged the Eulers losing in regulation was less desireable than a bottom feeder like the Sabres finally winning one in regulation.

Plenty. I have a PS5 and normally purchase Play Stations. Imo, more games are geared toward solo and adventure play. My son (10) has a fishing game and he enjoys it. Way of the Hunter Call of the Wild Hunting Simulator ______________ Call of the Wild Angler Ultimate Fishing Simulator Fishing Planet The Catch: Carp and Coarse Bassmaster All of the above are available on PS4 or PS5. PS4 games can be played on PS5 but not vice versa. You could probably get a PS4 relatively cheap. Also I buy games used. Games are expensive nowadays. Look into used at GameStop or on Ebay. Much cheaper. Hunting and fishing games also have a tendency to be cheaper anyhow. Good luck. Glad to hear he's coming home.

Just bumping this up. I think we've seen over the last few games exactly what I referred to above, consistent production from Doan. His net-front presence on PP1 appears to be a strong attribute. The difference between his skill there compared to Tuch for instance, it's major. It's the hockey IQ he possesses, which leads to him knowing how to position himself for a tip in, being open for a quick pass down low and quickly taking it to the net, etc. He also has extremely good hands as we saw on display last night. I think his ceiling is quite a bit higher than we all thought. He truly might be a 1st line level talent or at minimum a top 6'er/top PP guy on a good team. At this point, it's simply not a fluke with the consistency of his production game to game and the way he's doing it. He's elite along the boards, net front, passing ability and hockey sense. I'm over the moon for this guy.

GDT- Buffalo Sabres @ Edmonton Oilers, December 9th,2025/ 9pm ESPN-WGR

I suppose we didn’t respond, did we? -
So we hook this talometer up to each player butt and measure talent, then add it up, then divide by 23, is that right? Who gives a $hit about talent? What about size, strength, speed, skating, shot, skills, grit, mental toughness, intelligence, and durability? Talent is a concept compared to these attributes.

I think you see relatively "soft" defensemen around the league who improve a lot is where my thoughts on power are. His shot seems to be coming along, i dont think he's ever going to bang the boards and crunch people, but just... move people. Quinn's a weird player. He has a good shot, but he never seems to score good shot goals. He makes good plays sometimes, but they never go in for one reason or another (probably more just this teams ability to finish in general). And then there's like games where he is actively hurting the team on the ice. I don't know that he's "fixed" by a better coach, i just thought that line with him Östlund and rosen was playing well before they broke it up. After typing all this i left the room, and came back and youre right. Quinn can go.

Lindy would have lost the challenge and you know it. Why get worked up? they won. Go argue about the missed icing on the first Edmonton goal if you want a winnable argument. And yes, the rules are different when a goalie is outside the paint with less protection than if he is in the blue paint. Contact is allowed outside the paint unless it is ruled to be intentional, avoidable, or overly forceful - all judgement calls. Just touching a goalie who is in the blue paint is often called interference.

Any news on Ellis?
