Peterka and Quinn had it in Rochester and flashed it as rookies. Would love to see them get a chance to rekindle that with a tough, savvy centre. If only Dylan Cozens could have matched his concept.

The “the coaching staff is under contract for this season” line said everything. Pegula isn’t spending more money. Adams and the whole staff should have been canned at year’s end. Hire Jarmo, move Lindy upstairs. DeBoer and Spott should have been hired the minute they were fired in Dallas.

Honestly they should have cleaned house on everybody. If Terry wanted he could have kept Ruff on for nostalgia in an advisory role helping to hire the new people but there was no justification to keep anybody. There has been no part of this franchise that is performing well.

I'd worry more about Boston as I said. They are thinking they can get back in it quickly. So I can see them offer sheeting Peterka and if not that I think they will pay big for Boeser. Maybe more. They also might trade their pick for Dobson before Sabres even get a chance to offer theirs.

The teams I could see doing it do have their picks. Chicago, Anaheim, Pittsburgh, Boston, and most of all Philly. Calgary, Detroit, L.A., Montreal all in there too. Philly and Boston are the two teams I would watch the most. They do not want to wait and draft. They both think they can win now.

Well, I think the Pro Football Hall of Very Good goes too far the other way. If you don’t make it, the 1st, 2nd, 3td…..time, just wait, you’ll get in eventually. You even get another shot with the veteran’s committee. I don’t understand their logic in having a set number (5?) to elect in each year. Is it all about having a big crowd? Major kudos to the Baseball Hall of Fame, who in recent years have voted in nobody.

Honestly I thought he was just afraid to fly. Some people are. Russian mob may have had an influence on this or that though. I know they had some associations with players in Montreal. Mogilny was a quirky guy though. Him and LaFontaine especially were fun to watch. That gets me thinking though. You know we don't have a line that has that sort of chemistry. Not even a dynamic duo. Most really good teams have a few guys who just fit together. You could say we had Eichel and Reinhart but since then it's all individuals and moving pieces. They really need to find a way to fit some guys together and have them develop some synergy.

A conveniently forgotten fact by the radical right. Trump’s pulling out of that treaty singlehandedly allowed Iran to acquire vast amounts of uranium unchecked by the IAEA and the signatory nations to the treaty which was the case between the signing of the JCPOA in 2015 and 2018 when Trump pulled out of the agreement. Just an absolutely boneheaded move that undid a deal that was working. As to whether or not it Trump “did the right thing” with the bombing attack on the Iranian nuclear facilities, we won’t know the answer to that for a while. I guarantee he and his administration will continue to lie about it, regardless.

No matter how people try to spin it the bottom line is this: Pegula has stopped spending the necessary money on the Sabres and Adams will listen to everything he tells him and go out there and lie through his teeth about no financial constraints and take all the bullets for the failing of the team. Adams has tried now to spin it as if there are no real failings but he’s not smart enough and no one is going to believe it anyway. He comes off as an incompetent boob but he will do all the owner’s bidding. Lets face it they aren’t going to make the playoffs this season and yet will still justify shoving Seth Appert down our throats as the new head coach because Pegula is attracted to personalities like Rex Ryan, Lafontaine, Appert.

I’m going to call BS on that stat. There is no way that 14.7% 5 on 5 is an NHL record. I also disagree that a regression is going to happen. The kid has improved all 3 NHL seasons. He may top out as a 75 pt guy, but how many forwards of even that level have we drafted and developed since the tank? 2, Eichel and Reinhart who were both 2nd overall picks. We didn’t draft Thompson.

If I was in Vegas, the easy bet is they make a pick at 9. Trading is hard....and apparently Adams makes it even harder
