  1. Past hour
  2. ^There’s one (see emoji reaction)
  3. Ya he’s a mofo
  4. Reason for hope: the Bills have the strongest roster they’ve had since the 90s. As for the Sabres, maybe dimwit KA gets lucky in a trade for Byram, Peterka, etc
  5. Nothing. They are heading for another rebuild after they ***** the bed next season. This season they will lose Peterka and Tuch. After next season it will be Tage and Dahlin. One player will not save this team.
  6. So don't beat up a guy from another team beat up a teammate to reset the culture? Sure, why not. Might actually win a fight that way. Team broke with Lucic Miller and it has never recovered.
  7. If folks are watching the game tonight, don't drink a shot every time they show or mention the Stanley Cup in the building. Your loved ones need you alive tomorrow.
  8. Adams isn't smart.
  9. Can we just trade Pegula and 23 first round picks to the city of Boston to bring the Jacobs back home?
  10. I thought we were all in agreement that like 96% of the problem with the Sabres was the org as whole. Especially after that Fairburn article that linked Pegula to Adams on basically day one. Ya learn something new everyday.
  11. And the mofo's running the show don't seem to be smart enough to ask these guys who've all said they WANT to be here in the past (most of them multiple times as they've had multiple end of season interviews with coaches and management) what THEY (management) need to do to get them to continue to feel that way. IF your metric and a key factor in what players you want is a player WANTING to be a Sabre; well wtf are YOU (management and ownership) doing to KEEP these guys wanting to be here PLUS getting other players that aren't here to have the opinion that Buffalo IS a good place to play hockey and those other pleyers would wear the sweater WITH PRIDE? 13. I feel like if we had just one guy ready and willing to carry out a little locker room justice on a guy like Samuelsson, that would be the kick in the A this team needs. Sure, Samuelsson might cry his way outta town, but I'd hope the younger impressionable players would take note and get on board.
  14. Remember when we hated on the team for switching to video scouting?
  15. Maybe instead of looking for anyone else to blame and trying to leave these players should take a good hard look in the mirror and realize that they are the problem collectively and that they have the ability to provide the answers as well.
  16. Today
  17. 12 years. But otherwise, yeah
  18. You are right that there is zero chance that half the roster will be flipped. And that would be the right approach to take. There needs to be a few consequential moves to change the roster dynamic. I have little confidence in KA but as @Thornypoints out the $$$ should be put on Jarmo.
  19. It just reveals what we already know....this team is full of coasters who don't want to get their hands dirty and put in the work. It will be sooner than later when Tage adds his name to the list of people who will demand out of here. I started to think that it would be best to relocate for a year if you knew you could get a brand new team after the 2025 season. Either that or trade Dahlin, Tuch, Peterka and Tuch and start with a whole new group. It can't get any worse than it is now and maybe the next group will offer entertaining hockey once in a while.
  20. In a recent discussion, a few people opined that winning doesn't matter to Mr. Pegula. I could not fathom this, as he was pretty emotional when he purchased the team about wanting to win a Stanley Cup. He seemed to be a genuine fan of the Buffalo Sabres. Now, I received a survey from the Sabres organization asking about game day experience. There were a few questions about the team's performance and how much that matters regarding whether I attend a game or not. But there were also several questions about what I call the "entertainment experience." Things like the music, or the food, or the entertainment on the ice betweens periods, or... whatever. I started thinking about a game I went to last year where there were 4 guys seated behind us. All they talked about during play was the bets they had placed on things like the score at the end of the period, who would be winning, or whatever things people bet on nowadays. After the period ended, the 4 guys left and never returned to their seats. But, they had purchased tickets for the game. This has me thinking: Is it more important to entertain the people in the stands (or watching on TV) than it is to satisfy the actual hockey fans who care whether the team wins or not? Is there more money to be made by attracting casual fans who need to be "entertained" by things other than the game and its results? Do actual "Sabres fanatics" matter anymore? Between casual fans and fans of the opposing teams, it seems like more seats are filled by them than actual Sabres fans. The NFL seems to be aware of this, too. Halftime entertainment, music, food options, 6-hour pregame shows, scoreboard clips in between play, etc. The Super Bowl is widely regarded as no longer being a football contest pitting the two top teams, but rather a "mega event" that attracts A-list celebrities. Is that happening to all sports and at every game now?
  21. Eichel, Reinhart, O’Reilly, Peterka were floating through my head when I typed it out
  22. Thanks for the link, will give it a listen. I thought his frustration was pretty clear locker clean out.
  23. I saw this on another board and it just made me mad all over again, i still cannot beleive no one, no one grabbed anyone! I am back to wanting Samuelssen traded, I dont care if itd for nothing, I dont want him on my team if he will stand there and do nothing, hes gotta go
  24. Who are you thinking of?
  25. Pretty good interview. The whole thing starts at 1:26:00. It's longish at 45 minutes or so. I'm surprised how candid he is. He makes a few comments through out about how hard it is not to be in the playoffs, it eats away, how it drove other players to leave and he gets that at this point in his career. Tage also mentions that he hears the noise about Buffalo and that it's hard not to. He talks about the hit where nobody jumps in and says watching the replay he wishes somebody did but everybody apologized and Lindy leaned into the group about it. Start at about 2:06:00. I wouldn't be shocked of he's the first one who asks out of here. https://youtu.be/KGlLo7Kg_Os?si=IFH2aR8awEfIhgXI
  26. The sabres don’t seem to negotiate or convince when a player has concerns it sounds like they just give up errrrr revert to “we only want players who want to be here.”
