Good opportunity for him to know what he needs to work on at the NHL level and hone those skills in the AHL. I'd be lying if I said I've been watching him closely in the games he's been playing, but it seemed like he's not quite ready yet.

True, he may not be ready for the show, but he didn’t embarrass himself while he was here, either. You can see the talent is there. Let him cook in the A. I’d have liked to have seen Helenius replace Kozak for a look-see, but I fully understand why they decided not to.

This was the right call.

Center spine still going to be a major issue against any team with a legitimate 1C for the next.... 3 years? At least? Maybe if Helenius exceeds all expectations and becomes a Barkov?
