The whole Adams plan was an insane boom or bust risk. They've spent years drafting these skill guys and it isn't paying off, be it because the player just isn't that good or the coaching sucks. Guys like Rosen and Östlund should be contributing something by now. Kulich has his moments but also disappears for long stretches. Not to mention handing out long/pricey extensions to guys before they really earned them. He went all in on his "process" and it is objectively failing.

I think we're at that time for big decisions, whether it's a rebuild or not.

If you want to sign the RFAs and Tuch, you need to make decisions on Greenway, Quinn, UPL, Power/Byram soon to clear cap space.  If you're not signing Tuch, you need to figure out the timeline to trade him.

I don't want Adams anywhere near those decisions.

Except for his very first fight in the NHL back in 2018, Tage Thompson has actually handled himself really, REALLY well in fights.  If he had less skill and never became a goal scorer, he might have a career as  an enforcer in the NHL.

He only gets in one per year though, and he's not exactly the guy I want running people.  A wrist, hand, or shoulder injury, even a minor one, tanks his whole game.

That's another thing. He's so sold on "his guys" and the idea the top FA's won't come to Buffalo that he doesn't even try. He has consistently failed to supplement the talent we do have. Maybe top FA's don't want to come here, but I don't want a GM that buys that. Get somebody in here with the BALLS and vision to try.

Every new GM, even if a direct handoff with no external interviews from the old GM/POHO, gets 3 years to try their approach. Unless they don't listen or they call an owner names.

I missed the first period.  I watched the whole of the 2nd and hated the cheap late goal by the Bruins.

It seems to me (from what I have seen) the Sabres are way outplaying the Bruins.

How are they losing?
