Every shot was obvious and slow. I think Thompson and Dahlin switched positions once, but otherwise it was a stationary bunch of Historical Appert.

Definitely better team up till that BS call against Thompson that led to the leafs PP goal.  
Keep it at 5v5 and they should win this one

Not blaming Tage but you’d think these guys would realize the perimeter passing waiting on Tage’s one timer hasn’t been effective in over a season.  Maybe don’t put Tage out on the next one and make these guys work for it.

5v3 PPs seem to be a problem for our guys; they get all dinner plate sized eyes with the space for Thompson shots and forget that their PP has been more successful just shooting and scrumming.

It hasn't worked since the 2022 half of the 22-23 season.

Yeah.  Metsa is a good player, a smart player, but not an NHL player.  He deserved a look and for the most part has been ok so far.

He earned a look last season.

But... the RHD depth really should be a cheap JBD. And either Johnson (or Bryson -- because Adams) on the left side. Those should be your 7-8. Having to call up Metsa shows a limited vision, especially since they also signed another #8 LHD in Jones.

Hard to believe, considering as bad as Erik Johnson was as a Sabre, he's even worse as a Color Commentator.

Didn't expect he'd be able to find a profession that doesn't need professional degrees such as Engineer or Doctor that he'd've been worse at than Sabre defenseman; but he managed to find one.
