Put a jersey on him and stick him in the third pair. I mean I’m all for it except he might allow a goal every time he’s on the ice. His talent is his violence. I don’t think the rest of his game is anywhere near where it needs to be. Otherwise, he’s a first round pick. Quote

I disagree, he has very good lateral movement, skating and speed for his size. He will develop further. The reason he went 71 and not 21 is his lack of offense. He'll struggle with that, but not a huge concern if he ends up being a 3rd pair dman 1 Quote

Just wish we had 5 more players like him. They need this kind of player now. He’s not the solution. 1 3 Quote

He sounds smart yet humble, his word choices are smart, he did his research, he clearly was ready with a targeted message. All of that translates on the ice and is part of the talent package. I want him on the team tomorrow. (YES, I KNOW HE WILL TAKE YEARS TO DEVELOP. Thank you.) 1 Quote

"Get rid of the guys who don't want to be there" and "it's an honor to fight" [for your teammates]?! And he seems VERY smart, too. Please, David, get a little faster and get here soon. Taro T Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM Report Posted yesterday at 03:38 AM 8 hours ago, Big Guava said: Haha, definitely not ... Regier might be one of the all-time GMs in fleecing other GMs in trades. Drury, Briere and Gaustad trades were all heavily lopsided towards the Sabres, among others. It's a flashback, to a time outside the primary focus of the 1 Tank 3 GMs One Man Show Starring Kevyn Adams as all 3 GMs. Back before the world got so ugly. When life was simpler and a GM could hedge his bets about only roughly 1/2 of 1st rounders panning out, so draft 2 guys at one position or one name when you're REALLY taking it to the next level and you'll end up with at least 1 guy that can play on your roster for way longer than a significant portion of the fans are comfortable with. He's still focused on Life in a Northern Tank, but it still helps heighten the drama by taking us outside the present and allowing the GM to breach that so called 4th wall separating him from the audience with one of those honest conversationsTM that are so integral to the entire production. LGR4GM Posted 6 hours ago Author Report Posted 6 hours ago I like Bedkowski and EP being higher on him gives me some hope as I find that they are really detailed oriented when it comes to how they build their stuff. That said, unless he works hard on making sure he can take pucks away and either skate or pass them out of his own zone, aka facilitate zone retrievals, he's not gonna make it very far. He's got some skill though, so if we let him sit for a couple of years, might really have a hard nosed defender at the end. Quote
Taro T Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Expecting he'll be a fan favorite Amerk and get a handful of callups due to injuries or just wanting to change the room for a bit. If he's more than that, awesome. But personally, like the pick. He might be the reason the Östlund drafted 3 years from now feels comfortable enough to develop properly even if Bedkowski doesn't exceed expectations. And there is a significant value in that alone. Yep - that's typical for a 3rd rounder. Hopefully he ends up being a solid bottom pair guy, that would be a win 1 Quote
